Sleep Mask Large, Plus Eye Mask & Blindfold, Larger and Deeper Comfortable Sleeping Mask, Block Out Light Eye Cover

I have a lot of sleep masks and am still in search of the perfect one. This one is one of the better ones. There are several necessary features to what would seem like a simple contraption. It needs to have a strap that keeps it in place without being uncomfortable (check). The strap cannot be too bulky at the back of the head so we back sleepers don’t feel too much pressure and wake up with a headache (check). It needs to have enough space between our eyes and the inner surface of the sleep mask so we have room to blink without scraping our eyelashes on the material (close, but no check. There are a nice pockets but my lashes still hit.). It needs to have a fluffy pillow thing at the nose bridge to block out all the light which typically leaks at the nose (close again, but no check. The pillow thing is there but it still leaks light some when I change positions or it does.) it needs to be made of material that is not hot in the summer (Nope).Overall I find this mask comfortable unless the room is hot then so is the mask. I like the eye cups which afford my eyes the freedom to blink but they aren’t deep enough to avoid all contact. And last, i do wish the nose pillow were bigger or less stiff so that all the light would be blocked all the time. This one is better than some but not as good at others in that respect. Overall I give it a B or 4 stars.

I have multiple health issues revolving around sleep, including sleep apnea, and over the past five years, when my issues first arose in serious fashion. I've learned every trick that there is, from having a bed that will elevate my feet and raise y shoulders to every medication that exists to what white noise can do to help you sleep. White noise is huge. I have used fans to some effect. I have often used the Calm app, which has been pretty outstanding. My favorite white noise, believe it or not has been a WW II recording of a B-17 flying for 8 hours. Played full blast, at a realistic decibel level, it would be so loud that it would hurt your ears, but when you are able to adjust the volume so that it isn't nearly so loud.And I've tried blackout masks. They can be very tricky to use with a breathing mask. So let me say that without a breathing mask this OriHea mask is an especially good one, but even better it can be used with breathing masks. You can pull the strap around to the back of your head and attach it just fine. Once attached, the mask is extremely comfortable and completely blocks out the light. You honestly don't see any light whatsoever. This mask combined with the Calm app (though still occasionally the B-17 droning on for hour after hour, which does really give you more respect for what our grandfathers did in WW II) has really helped improve my nightly sleep. In fact, after five years of suffering I'm finally close to being able to sleep all night long again.

I have been sleeping with a mask for the past 6 years, and cant go without it. My wife has just joined me and has been looking for a model which dont smash her eyelashes when sleeping. I use the silk ones which basically lay over on top of your eyes. I dont have fake lashes, but let me tell you, after trying this model when my wife was out of town, I just had to get myself a pair. They offer the feeling of freedom as you fall asleep, they do not push at all against your eyeball due to the very very clever "cup" design which cover your eyes while allowing to freely blink as you go to sleep. Another thing that I have not experienced before with eye masks is the 100% blackness, there is always some light coming through the side of the nose where it meets the eye, with this one, it lays completely over it. I am completely sold on these cup models, and would honestly recommend this brand as it has truly worked form me in all aspects. I own about 20 different styles of eye masks, I am a total freak about my sleep hygiene. This one by OriHea is an excellent choice. VERY comfortable, no problem at all with the fitting. Mid-weight - not too heavy, not silky light, just right for staying on all night. TOTAL blackout can be achieved by correctly fitting the strap around your head, velcro strap, just perfectly thick enough to stay put. Thickening around nose piece and eyecups, which you need to achieve the darkness. I tried over ears and under ears - works well either way you choose. Deep eye sockets, my long lashes were not bothered at all. GREAT addition to my eye mask family. I would buy again. You can tell this was made by someone who actually USES and NEEDS a blackout eye mask AND who is an engineer!

My husband often uses a sleep mask because I read, at times, far into the night.I tried these myself and found them to be unusually comfortable.The mask has an adjustable elastic band with a long velcro closing. It can be adjusted to fit any size head.The nylon covered foam of the mask forms well to the face. The eye sections are cupped away from the eyes, so there is no pressure on them.I found I could easily blink and move my eyes when wearing the mask.This mask blocks out all light, you can't see a thing with it on.It would be ideal for a day sleeper.My husband reports that this is the most comfortable and effective eye mask he has ever used.I found that to be the case myself, and we both recommend the mask without reservation.
