Duncan Hines Creamy Coconut Pecan Frosting, 15 oz

Recipe must have changed since I last purchased the coconut pecan icing. I remember it tasting somewhat like pralines. This time it was much more oily looking. Tasted like sweetened palm oil.

I got this as a post-test treat, as this has always been my go to flavor of icing for eating straight out of the... package? can? let's go with can. However, I'm pretty dissatisfied with the quality. first of all, this separates almost instantly. As I write this, the jar has been sitting on my desk for roughly 10 minutes, and the oils are already coming to the to. I'm not sure how this fares on cupcakes or cinnamon rolls (sidenote- this flavor icing is amazing on cinnamon rolls) but the constant stirring when I'm just trying to drown my sorrows from my soc. test is a pretty big inconvenience. Also, about midway through the jar I found a piece of shell in the icing, which I'm sure you realize isn't exactly pleasant. In short, I like coconut pecan icing, however, I don't think I'll be buying it from Duncan-Hines again.

This product was out of date. It was darker in color and runny.

This was a month expired and when I opened it to put it on the cake it just dripped out hard and then I’ll run it all over the cake it was just nasty and I looked at the bottom and it had expired by one month absolutely horrible that they don’t look to see that there’s any expiration dates on these things very upset and sad at the same time

seemed old, the coconut was separated from the brown runny carmel, wont buy again from here.

It was stale when we got it. Couldn't use it. Not worth trying to send back.
