ODYSSEYCLP090E Carpeted Case fits 90 LP's

This is very sturdy and will absolutely do the job it's designed for; protect your records, even when being moved around. My only issue is with the quality control that let this unit ship. The male portion of the latch was clearly installed crooked, and the screws holding it in don't sit flush as the screw holes wouldn't allow them to seat completely.I spent about 15 minutes correcting this in my shop, but it could have been avoided with 10 additional seconds of care taken at the factory.Otherwise, this is very solid, fits my records well, and once closed will keep my records safe. It is one of the best looking on the market and, despite the quality flaw I mentioned, will happily buy more when they're needed.

I read the great review on this record case, and I now I have one myself. High quality inside and out. Nicely finished corners and carpet covering. The inside has an odor from the factory. It smells more like perfume, than any chemical. Anyway, I left the lid off a couple days to air it out. Speaking of.....I like how the lid is easily removable for viewing my records. You simply rotate the cover past 90 degrees and it lifts off. Easy to put back on and close too. Again, this case is just built so good. Hard to imagine anyone being let down using this case. My record collection is still rather small, so I don't know if I can stuff 90 records in it. When I hit about 70 albums, I'm sure I will just buy another one of these Odyssey cases.

Very solid case. Very well built. I'm 215lbs and I wouldn't feel uncomfortable jumping up and down on top of this case with my favorite records inside. Or chucking it, latched of course, out a third story window on to pavement. I am confident it would survive this just fine. While I bought it for my vinyl it could be used to protect pretty much anything that would fit into a footxfoot space.Extremely heavy for what I thought I was getting. With about 30 records in it at present it weighs about 35lbs. (1/2 star reduction)Also, when you open the lid up all the way, it detaches when you lift directly up--no snapping off or anything like that. It just comes right off, as if it was made to do so. For my purposes I would never want the lid to detach. Not sure why this hinge was built this way. Not that big of a deal, just could be better. (1/2 star reduction)For 75 bucks it is a good case but definitely could be a bit better. Overall the case does what I bought it for--protect my favorite vinyl. And will be especially convenient next time I move house.Make it lighter and make it a full hinge and I'll give it five stars.

Overall great for protecting vinyl. However, the biggest design flaw is the handle on the top. If you LOAD this with vinyl and attempt to carry it one handed by the top handle-- good luck, unless you are the Hulk.This really needs two handles on the side. (Which I could swear some of the photos showed) It looks like the product pictures have been updated.One more word of caution. The metal case reinforcement at the bottom corners can/will scratch hardwood floors or tabletop surfaces if dragged along them.

This is a nicely made box, it fits your vinyl albums easily with the covers on. One thing I personally am not crazy about is the lid can removed but it also opens and you can leave it hinges open. If taken off it easily snaps back into the hinges. Just a note for homes with animals it will collect hair. If that’s a problem for anyone searching this product just beware. With all that said I love it and would buy it again.

Product arrived damaged on corners, latch block is crooked (like other reviewers’ pictures) and latch itself arrived in the shape of a V that didn’t fit where it should at all. It was just inside the cafe. We had to use pliers to reshape it to the rectangle it should be to make it latch the way it should. Poor quality, not worth half the price paid for it. Product looks used and pretty beat up although packaging was in great condition.

I have previously ordered a CLP200P Odyssey LP case and, although it is major fantastic, it just would not hold all of my vinyls. Also none of my larger boxed sets would fit in that case. So I ordered the CLP090E and could not be more satisfied. It held the rest of my vinyls, and my larger boxed sets fit just fine. Empty, the CLP200P (which I totally love) is very heavy. The CLP090E though is surprisingly light for such a solid built case. I will probably be purchasing a couple more CLP200Ps to store my Laserdiscs. I know they will last a lot longer than I will. Both cases were ordered from MVInnovations. Delivery was fast, packaging was excellent, and I will order through them again in a heartbeat. Thank you MVInnovations.

Its a pretty nice box, it fits all my records and has plenty of room for more. It feels like it will be durable and last. I have one major complaint about it however, the latch on the front that closes the top is made of very sharp metal. The first time I tried to open in, I had to pull pretty hard on the latch, and the small metal loop that you can place a lock on ran across the tops of my fingers slicing them open like a hot knife through butter. Later on I simply lifted up on the latch to open it, and the metal dug into my thumb peeling off a small bit of skin. I took a file to it and now it is not so bad, but just be warned. Other than the fact that you can preform surgery with the latch on this thing, it is a pretty nice container to keep all of my records in, and the blood stains make it look more punk.
