Good buy
I bought this mattress to use as a primary bed for at least a semester at school. So far I have had it for 3 weeks and have not had any leaking or other issues. I had bought it in good faith, unable to find much information on things like the warranty etc. but was pleasantly surprised by the product and hope some of the information here will help someone else make an informed decision. The Serta branded mattress is actually produced by Wenzel, a well known air mattress company, as indicated on the warranty card. The box says that it comes with a 2 year warranty. I also come with a big storage bag and a flocked top that keeps the sheets on well.I was initially going to go withย Intex Supreme Air-Flow Queen Airbed Nylon Flocked with Built-in Electric Pump ย as comfort was my main objective, but I was weary of a built in pump due to my research that indicated the need for o-ring maintenance and other issues with leaking from the pump. This was one of the only quality air mattresses I could find with a simple valve and external pump. I was most impressed with how easy it was to inflate. I expected a plug like what you would find on a pool float, but I found it to have a simple one way valve and cap that keeps the air in. The pump is also nice and simple and fits perfectly with no need to hold it while pumping. The comfort is good. Certainly better than your average camping mattress though not better than a quality mattress. I put a mattress pad on my serta which increased the comfort a lot. 2 people have been able to sleep on it with out too much difference in performance. My only complaint would be that it is not as tall as other similarly priced mattresses and could be more difficult to get in and out of. I didn't dock a star though because that is indicated in the specifications.Overall I would recommend this mattress for someone looking for a simple, yet durable and comfortable air mattress.

Guests Said They Are Great but Air Valves Leak on Some
I have not slept on these myself but they have been very convenient for the many overflow guests we have had. Could not handle the expense of purchasing the many actual real full mattress and box springs we would need to accommodate our guests so purchased quite a few of these air beds instead to fill our empty guest bedrooms. Easy setup, easy to deflate and put away. I also bought some mattress pads to put on these and the kids that have slept on them said they were great and comfortable. My kid also gets excited and loves jumping on these like a bounce house the second I inflate them all, although that is not a recommended use.Updated December 8, 2014I have a few of these as beds for our guest rooms and the comfort is still great. But the valves on a couple of them started to leak a few months ago and do not seal all the way. This results in a guest going to sleep on a bed at night but waking up in the morning on the floor on a completely deflated bed. If it was a hole I could patch it but do not know how to fix this kind of issue. I haven't used them that many times and not much wear on them so this should not be happening so soon.December 10, 2014Commenter Teri below makes the obvious connection that the kids jumping on them could have damaged the valve/seal and be the cause of them no longer sealing. So definitely do not recommend letting kids (or adults) jump on these.

Great value
Second Update: After 7 years, many guests, and multiple apartments with nail-ridden hardwood floors, it finally bit the dust. RIP air mattress.Update: GOING 4 YEARS STRONGI did become a real adult after writing my first review and bought an actual bed. BUT, I still use my Serta all the time! I live in a 1-bedroom and have visitors consistently throughout the year (#cityproblems) and everyone loves staying with me instead of a hotel because this air mattress still feels like a real bed. After 4 years of fairly regular use, it still hasn't had a single hole. The seal isn't as tight as it use to be and the mattress now needs to be blown up after 2 days instead of 3-4. But literally a fabulous investment, highly recommend.PREVIOUS: I bought this Serta as a temporary bed until my new mattress was shipped. I've been sleeping on it for every night for 3 weeks and it's been great. As others have mentioned, it does need to be refilled slightly every 3-4 days. But as a single, fairly light female, I've found it's still very firm the first 2 days after refilling. Not once have a woken up with my butt touching the ground. It does have a strong rubber odor when first taken out, but honestly it's no big deal. It's not as good as a real mattress, but the height sure does make a difference between the Serta and a regular air mattress. Definitely the most comfortable and longest lasting air mattress I've ever used. If you're looking for a temporary replacement for a mattress, this is an excellent value.

Unbelievable
First I want to say this mattress is incredible. I moved to NYC on somewhat of a whim and this was all I had to sleep on for the first 6 months. SIX MONTHS. And it never deflated. I never had to use the pump to add air. It was amazingly comfortable, so much so that I put off buying a real mattress longer than I needed to. I'm giving it 4 stars and not 5 because it did finally spring a leak in one of the seams, so not a puncture. It was within the warranty period so I SHOULD have sent it back but who has time for that kind of thing. Also by that time I had a real bed and I wasn't going to lose sleep over it.

I used it the first day and kept the air like for 3 days and then to the closet
I read in other reviews that they didn't tried the first 3 months and then was already late for the warranty.I used it the first day and kept the air like for 3 days and then to the closet. The pump is good, is for inflate and deflates

Very satisfied with this purchase
I bought this as a guest bed. I set it up as soon as it arrived, to get rid of the "new plastic" smell. The odour went away within a day. It stayed inflated very well before my guest arrived. My guest reported that the mattress stayed firm, and only had to add a little air each day.I've used cheap camping mattresses before that always ended up leaking, I'm very glad I got this one and will be using it in the future.

Quality material
Its great, but just a comment about air mattresses in general.... they bring up the cold from the ground, and its hard to stay warm.
