I needed this to protect my Hyundai Santa Fe Spare wheel (previous wheel stolen) winched up to underside of the car - cable cut through above wheel in 40mm of exposed cable.Together with a Yale padlock and this very nice covered chain - my new wheel should be well safe from thieves padlocked to a 10mm eye bolt - bolted to the chassis.Chain, very well made, nice and strong - very pleased with it. It's a big chain, I doubt it would stand up to some huge cutters, but I sure wouldn't want to try and break it. It weighs a lot, but chains weigh a lot. If your chain doesn't weigh much then it's probably no use.

Use this in conjunction with the Abus diskus shackle padlock to give a reasonably lightweight thief stopper for the frame and front wheel when combined with a u- tube lock for frame and back wheel.

This size chain goes very well with Abus shutter lock.
