Slime 50063 Truck Spair Heavy Duty 12-Volt Inflator & Tire Repair Kit

I bought this same kit from a hardware store when I had a flat and knew it was due to a faulty valve core on my tire and didn't feel like changing a perfectly good tire in a parking garage. At the hardware store this kit ran me $80 so this price on Amazon is a great deal. I'm a gearhead and at first thought it was just a cheap little gimmick but after using it, I am sold. The kit comes with spare valve cores and a key. It pumped up my tire from completely flat to 30psi in about 5 mins, way faster than changing the whole tire. Ignore the bad reviews, they obviously did not read the 1 page manual that comes with it! Save yourself some trouble and read it while you're waiting for your tire to inflate. The kit is for emergencies only, not your everyday use air compressor. If this is what you're planning on using it for then I doubt it will last very long. It says to not let it run longer than 10 mins or something or it shuts off automatically because it is too hot. Unplug it and let it cool down (like any air compressor), then you can use it again. It also clearly states not to rely on the built in pressure gauge (again, like all air compressors) and it comes with a manual tire gauge to check the pressure before you take off.The one thing I am slightly disappointed with is the bottle of slime is for ATV/Mower tires only, you shouldn't put it in your car tire. It worked for me cause I didn't need to use it and the only thing I use slime in is bike and mower tires anyway cause it is a pain to clean out of the tire and rim when you change a tire (I do mine myself so that's why I care). They do sell slime for highway use anywhere if you really want to add it to your kit.Long story short, I'm very happy with this kit so far and am buying one for my dad and grandpa for Christmas!

I purchased this to replace the one in my wife car after she needed it for a flat tire. Once received and opened up I looked over everything it came with as well as tested out the pump. Everything listed in the Ad was there, and had tons of useful items for if and when you might need it. In the bag also came instructions on how to use said items to secure your tire prior to using the Slime and pump. I recommend looking these instructions over and getting an idea on how this system works before you might need it on the side of a dark road in the middle of nowhere. The pump worked fine and had plenty of length on the power cord to reach every tire as well as an air hose to extend every further. The kit came with everything you will need to fix a flat as long as you don't have a full blow out which damages the tire to a point where the Slime won't work, for that you will need a spare time, but for a screw, nail etc. this will do the trick. The pump will double as a standard pump to keep your tires at the recommended pressure as well as can be used when out at the park, beach or pool side when you need to fill something up with air. One thing to note is that the Slime needs to be checked from time to time, to make sure it's still good and will work when needed, again this system relies on the Slime, pump and items in the kit for it to work.

I have had this unit for approximately 4 months, in that time i have used it more than 30 times. It airs up a car tire from flat in about 3-6 minutes, and as slow as that may seem it's actually pretty darn good for how small it is. No you cannot run a nail gun. Yes you can air a full size truck tire! Once I used it to air 12 (3 cars) tires in a row. It is a beast! Just make sure you do not let it over heat. You just feel it and if it gets too hot (only one time when airing 12 car tires in a row I had to give it a 10 minute break on tire #9!) you let it cool for a bit. The only bad 1% thing is.... everyone knows i have a bad ass air compressor at work. Henceforth I became a free air fill up station..... Great buy though will buy another if this thing ever goes out. From it's performance so far I expect it to last at least another year.other awesome things: It comes with a pretty bright LED built in which I haven't really used too much as i always keep a mag-lite handy but would it work ok in a cram. The reach, I can plug it in my cigarette lighter and pump air into 3 tires (two front and the back facing me) on a car parked next to me by running the cord out my window. Impressive. It comes with a set of battery terminal alligator clips adapter to cigarette light plug so you can run directly off the battery if you wanted to It comes with tire plug kit and slime, how ever the slime is only for speeds under 60 mph so it is just a temp fix. Usually tire shops charge extra when they find you slimed your tire. So unless that's the only way home avoid using the slime goo. It came with rubber gasket lined metal schrader valve caps (green in color) which I switched out instead of my standard plastic ones that come with the tire and they look cool =), and probably hold the air in better (certainly not worse).Well there is my Horribly written review (i suck a writing organized) hopefully there is some useful information that will steer you in the right direction.
