more fun for the money
This is a great buy for someone on a budget. It does everything it is supposed to do, and a few things aside from that. Try hooking it up to an electric accordian for example. An accordian player in a death-metal band.... who would have known...Well, I guess it's more of a fusion thing, combining elements of polka with hard hitting gutteral vocals. As soon as we find a guitar player, and our drummer upgrades from bongos to a full drum kit nobody will be able to stop us!!!LONG LIVE YANNI!!!

Too late
I wanted this product delivered for Christmas but it was out of stock.Ended up going to the local music shop where I picked up an even more impressive model for almost the same money!

Good price for what it does.
This processor is well-priced and very functional for what it does. While it doesn't have the bells and whistles of the more expensive models, this one is very good for its price.

great unit especially for the price----easily can change all kinds of parameters, reverb, chorus, delay, etc etc---great to take outside (can run on batteries as well) and use along with a small battery powered amp (Yamaha has a great one) for great sounds. Have another one as a back-up as well

Complicated and a Waste of money
This was an ok item, but the thing i didn't like was that when you put on the effect you can't stop it with a pedal or something. It was also very complicated, and hard to use. The effects were pointless and many of them sounded almost the same.

Okay for the money, but...
I ordered this unit to 'replace' my Line 6 POD that I usually travel with since the RP50 is considerable smaller and lighter. The reviews had all been positive. I spent a good 2 hours with the RP50 going thru all the patches and effects. I was impressed by some of the reverbs' density and lushness. The built-in drum machine is great for practicing or coming up with riffs. I wasn't crazy about the drum sound but, for $60...? My main beef was the lack of clean guitar sounds available from the different amp-modeling selections. It seems that if one chooses a certain make of amp that it's assumed that the sound the player wants will be full-on metal distortion. There's no way to control the amount of "drive" on the amp selections. You want "clean", you have to go with the "blackface", etc. Selection of amp models and effects is tedious because of the up-down pushbuttons. The delays are all fixed time, only the amount/mix is variable. The EQ is not very effective at all. The most fun I had was with the octave effect. I might have kept this unit for that alone! All in all, this is a good product for the money, but I need the kind of control I have with my POD, which of course costs four times as much.

Right on the spot!
Simply put, this tiny devil delivers the goods! Compact, powerful, light-weight and easy to use, the RP50 is a great choice if you're just getting started in the guitar-effects business. I enjoyed the presets as well as the fact that you can easily alter and save them. Sure enough, you don't get ALL the effects out there, but the question you need to ask yourself is: do I really need them? This all-in-one processor will take years for me to grow out of, and in the meantime I'll have a ball blasting through it. The only thing I'd recommend is to get a separate wah-wah, perhaps a Dunlop, to have a rig most guitar players out there would be jealous of. The thing here is to keep it simple and practical; more guitar effects won't make you play better, in fact they'll keep you from playing because you'll always be looking for that 'perfect tone'. So, that's it. Have fun, 'cause I know I will! Later!

THIS RP 50 PEDAL ROCKS
I don't have it programed all yet because I don't like the stuff they put on it, but I have a rp 50 and its a killer of a pedal so I bought another for a back up and when friends come over to play the can see what a killer pedal it is
