Gigaset Premium C570A Cordless Phone (Five Handset, C570A Quint)

We bought these because as we got older our Panasonic answering machine and mobile was getting impossible to hear properly. To say that the sound of these is High Def is a bit OTT, however it is the best sound that I have heard on a remote / mobile phone. The speaker option on each handset also works well.They look good although build quality may not be perfect it is OK.I was worried that having paid a relatively high price I would be dissapointed. Far from it, they are worth the extra money. We are both impressed by them, and recommend them.

Not a very intuitive setup. You have to copy all contacts from one phone to the other phones. If you change a contacts list you have to delete it from all phones (each hand set) and then copy to each handset or you will have duplicates. Not sure the coverage and quality is that great compared to the BT set we had before. This is a very expensive set and not overall thrilled with it.

The fact that the base unit doesn't have a handset is invaluable as we can tuck it away as our mains cable comes into the house in a room that doesn't need a phone. Otherwise the handsets are great, battery life is fine and clarity of calls is good. Nothing spectacular about them, but no obvious faults either. It also isn't a set of five but rather five separate single units that you have to link to the base. Easy enough to do this but felt a bit cheated they weren't pre-linked.

Very easy to set up. Good ring tone. Voice clarity acceptable but not brilliant. Upgraded after 15 years from older Gigaset model. Expected a better quality really. Bases cheap, light and plastic unlike the old silver base models. Good clear screen. Overall, OK but underwhelmed by voice clarity on both high frequency and low frequency boost settings.

I had to go through several options before selecting this one, but it seemed to be the only one that gave us exactly what we wanted (an answerphone with no handset and five DECT handsets). So far it has been fine and also the bedside one works as an alarm clock, so my ancient radio alarm (I never listened to the radio anyway) has gone out, an unexpected benefit.

It doesn't seem possible to get real quality DECT handsets these days - these are ok and most importantly the audio quality is excellent.The base station does *not* come with an integral charger so you need 2 plug sockets if you want a phone near your base station - frustrating - but the handsets battery life is excellent.

I like everything about the phones.They are easy to set up, very clear to hear people, look good, I can’t rate the battery life properly as I have only just purchased them.Very glad I read the reviews before purchasing, it makes it easier when you get other people’s opinions on the product you are looking to buy.I would definitely recommend this product.

As I run my business from home a good quality phone system is important. This product is not good quality. After 10 months of use all the batteries on all the handsets are useless. All the handsets have to be left in their chargers when not in use because none of them reach above 25%. The audio quality of the answerphone is embarrassingly bad. There are other much better options than Gigaset.
