We purchased this bench to use at the foot of the bed in our guest bedroom. We needed a smaller bench due to space constraints but also wanted a sturdy, attractive bench. This product hit all our goals, was easy to assemble and is now in service!

This thing is surprisingly sturdy. I’ve had two people sit on it together who’s combined weight exceeded 450lbs, and it felt completely solid. There were a few very minor cosmetic scuffs to the “wood” on delivery, but nothing significant. It didn’t include half as many washers as the instructions showed to use. Otherwise, assembly was easy. I was happy that the hinges were pre-assembled, since hinges never line up quite right on DIY. I put it together myself and would recommend a second set of hands. Also be ready for styrofoam eeeeeeverywhere! The leatherette feels and looks genuine and durable. It included pads to avoid scuffing the floor. I’ve had it for a few months, and I’m pleased with its appearance and durability. My only complaint is that the pictures made me think it could fit more types of shoes than it really can. Even sneakers are a bit tall for these shelves. It’s great for sandals, slippers, and slides. You’ll need to find something different entirely if you hope to store basketball-type sneakers or any kind of boots.

I thought it was fairly straightforward on assembly directions but they only had enough washers for the first set of screws that hold the legs to the bench. It shows to use washers on the shelf connections also but there was not enough for that. So far it seems very sturdy without the washers and I love the look in my entry and height of the bench is comfortable for even the taller members of the family.

Bench looked nice even though shelves were chipped but then when i tried to put 1 very lightweight table cloth in the storage compartment under the seat the bottem fell out. I bought it to replace 2 chairs in my camper so needed the extra storage for table clothes and a few place mats very disapointed this bench didn't workout as expected. Shipping box was very damaged when it arrived which explains the damage to the shelves.
