How is the old system better even if you add a fresh water bucket from the dollar store?

I am afraid I don't understand your question about the dollar store. And I haven't had the old system. This is the first O-Cedar bucket floor cleaning system I have ever owned but its awesome. The clean and dirty water are separated and the the wringer wrings the water out really well.! Does that help??

This probably my favorite mop. The separation of clean water and dirty water is everything. I mopped my kitchen floor and it looked so beautiful afterwards. I could control how much water was in the mop and I was able to use the mop head to remove stuck on food from the the floor with ease. It works far better than my previous microfiber mop. It got into corners that i usually have to reach on my hands and knees with a cloth to get clean. I can also keep my clean water in the mop bucket for multiple days and not worry about it being gross because it’s clean. I really love this mop.
