I upgraded from Garmin 165 and the difference has been noticeable. Both watches are good for training, but 570 provides more advanced training metrics. GPS and battery life is also better. The display is easy to read. For casual runners, Apple Watch or Foreunner 165 is probably enough, but for those training regularly and for long races, the 570 is worth the upgrade. The watch can be a little bit like a coach. It tells you scores based on your sleep, recovery and recent training. For low tech people like me, there was a learning curve though and I had to watch YouTube videos to figure out all the settings. My only complaint is the wrist band I dont find very comfortable. Also the price is much higher so it definitely was an investment. I figured if spending a little money will motivate me better to focus on my health more, it is worth it!

Wow, the Garmin watch has been a true game changer for me. I swapped from Apple Watch to Garmin for all my running and exercise tracking. I am a hybrid athlete. I do duathlons, triathlons, run marathons and do CrossFit, so I have pretty good idea what I am talking about comparing Apple Watch to Garmin. I was Apple Watch user since it first came out until last year when I gave in and invested in Garmin. Here is some high level key features that are outstanding: Running data**: Post-run metrics are far more accurate than on my previous watch, visually cleaner, and easier to read and interpret. I also receive many more metrics than I did with the Apple Watch. iPhone integration**: The connection with my iPhone has been incredibly smooth, with no issues. Exercise tracking**: In particular, high-intensity tracking is excellent, and pinpointing which body part I’m targeting has been incredibly helpful. Duathlon feature**: The ability to customize for triathlon or duathlon is really cool, and I love that flexibility. Battery Life **: this part can’t even compare I get 7 days out of my Garmin watch before I have to charge it again. While Apple Watch dies within 10-12 hours max and I have to charge every night. Overall Garmin exceeds Apple Watch by miles. Integration, visualization, data metrics, screen quality, battery life, tracking, gps etc.

I absolutely love this Garmin. I use it for workouts as well as everyday activity tracking, and it gives me so much more information than I expected from a watch. It’s comfortable enough to wear all day, easy to use, and I really like having my workout, recovery, sleep, and activity information all in one place. The smaller size also fits my wrist well without feeling bulky. If you’re active and want more detailed fitness information than a basic smartwatch provides, I definitely recommend it.

First time Garmin owner. I have no affiliation or relationship to either Garmin or Apple. If you primarily use your watch for running, Garmin is a must. The number or features and metrics are amazing. I really enjoy the body battery and sleep tracking to go along with all of the running stats. Overall I’m very happy with the purchase and could recommend the watch. The other perspectives to be aware of. Apple is still king when it comes to UI and software. It does have a bit of a Mac vs Windows or Apple vs. Android type feeling when using it. Getting started wasn’t as intuitive but still fairly easy. Apple has some nice safety features for hearing and health kit. Great Smart watch. Again though for running and fitness, Garmin is a perfect match because of its targeted features and watch battery life. I’m loving Garmin coach, it makes it easy to train without putting in a ton of work to know exactly what you should be running each day. I did need to change the Event type for my benchmark run to training to get it to start working though. Without figuring this out I ran 3 benchmarks in a row haha. the other issue I’ve seen is it appears all the music apps for Garmin are not great - you’ll most likely want to load your own music if you want that. I’m sure they’ll fix it over time though TLDR: if you are trying to get better at running, just buy it! Totally worth it.

I bought this for my husband and he loves it! It fits his wrist well and looks really good on him. He found a great watch face and loves how long the battery lasts, which is even longer than my Garmin watch, which lasts 9 days. The only downside was that the charging cord did not work so he had to use mine to charge his battery. Amazon, however, was really helpful and have me a partial refund credit and even researched which cord I could purchase to replace it since we didn't want to send the watch back. The refund credit more than covered the replacement cord, which should be delivered today. As for the watch itself, it's truly worth buying!

Love this watch. The bands are interchangeable with my old 245 music and the bands are this this are even smaller for womens wrist sizes. It has every data point imaginable and also makes workouts for you. It is worth the price.

I had been wearing Apple Watch since inception. But I switched over to Garmin because I wanted to get back to wearing a watch with buttons on the side. And now Forerunner 570 is considered a smartwatch and its GPS has improved since the days I wore Forerunner many years ago and before Apple Watch. For me, this Forerunner 570 has not disappointed me. I am loving it especially when I go swimming laps. Pick the activity and press the start button. It's been great for me.
