Very spacious, well built, and genuinely useful for cooking multiple dishes
I bought the Ninja Double Stack XL Air Fryer as a Christmas present for my mother, and it ended up being used heavily over the Christmas period, including for Christmas dinner itself. Build quality is excellent. It feels solid, well finished, and like a premium appliance rather than something flimsy or gimmicky. The vertical dual-drawer design works really well and saves counter space while still offering a lot of capacity. Space is a big highlight. It comfortably handled cooking multiple items at once, which was especially useful when preparing a large meal. Being able to run different settings in each drawer makes it far more flexible than a single-basket air fryer. The controls and presets are clear and easy to use, even for someone who isn’t particularly technical. Everything heats evenly, and results were consistently good across different foods. Overall, a high-quality, very practical air fryer that’s ideal for larger households or anyone who wants to cook more than one thing at a time. My mother loves it, and after seeing it used properly, it feels like a worthwhile upgrade over smaller models.

Very good to use and easy to set up.
They are excellent to set up and work very well for me... It is easy to clean, has easy-to-follow instructions, and cooks very well. I use that most of the time and don't use the cooker much now, only when I need to boil things in the saucepan.

This 'double-decker' air fryer is our new kitchen hero.
First things first, this air fryer is hefty and has quality build. Inside the big packaging we get manuals, a recipe book with some 'stack and cook' ideas and of course, the star of the show – the double-stacking air fryer itself. This thing is all about saving space - it's slimmer than the normal double-basket ninja models and the sleek design with sharp lines makes it look good on any countertop. The control panel is user-friendly with 6 pre-programmed settings (like e.g. air fry, roast, max crisp, etc), it has an analogue dial for adjustments and a "sync" button for cooking everything at the same time in both baskets. As for the capacity, it's a big 9.5 litters, which is enough to feed a hungry family. It deliver perfectly cooked results on both baskets - plus, no preheating is needed – just toss the food in and go. The 'Double Stack Pro' feature essentially turns each basket into a two-tiered air fryer, which gives a total of four cooking levels. We tried it with steaks and while there were some minor inconsistencies, it's still a handy feature to have. The non-stick coating makes cleaning a breeze -just a quick soapy water wash, and you're good to go. Easy maintenance. Overall, after about two months of daily use I can really fault it - however please keep in mind the potential for minor cooking inconsistencies when using 4 stacks. But for the ability to whip up a feast in half the space in the kitchen, this 'double-decker' air fryer is our new kitchen hero!

Must have
Really impressed by the performance of this air fryer. After not having one and being on a diet and wanting to eat more healthy foods and ditch the deep fat fried foods I opted to purchase this one based on the style and compact size. I have cooked, roast potatoes for a roast, perfect. Chips are crispy and not dried out or hard. Fish cooked well as well as chicken items. Can’t wait to try everything else possibilities are endless. Don’t be put off by the negative feedback. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS and you will have perfect cooked foods. You do have to toss the food around, for example fries, I would shake and toss these around three times moving them from the front of the draw to the back during the cooking and also to check the progress of them remember you have to do this with normal ovens which say turn over halfway during cooking… It’s all about getting used to how the device works. It mostly cooks much quicker than you think, much quicker than my fan oven. As it cooks faster it does save energy which in time will pay you back not having to heat up a big oven saves both time and money. The heat up times are instant as it is compact area whereas an oven has to heat up large doors, racks, walls… The design is good looking sleek and smart fits in my kitchen nicely proud to have it out on display and not in hiding like by old fat fryer is. The control panel is easy to use. With so many functions each you can tailor temp and time. Sync and match options are great addition. You can pop the draws into the dishwasher for easy cleaning but I would suggest you hand wash these with some good old washing up liquid it only takes seconds to do this and prolongs the life of the non stick. Remember to use silicone tongs so you don’t damage or scrape the non stick. If you are thinking of buying one, I 100% recommend this one, I like buying food I can put in this just so I can use it most days! Ovens are so 2008. I’m about to register my device guarantee so I can get another years cover, another benefit. Haven’t you ordered yours yet? Tick Tock. Should have got one years ago but having said that this new design has only just been released.

Read before buying
My old air fryer was perfectly fine. It cooked food, took up half the kitchen and generally got on with its life without causing any drama. Then the Ninja Double Stack arrived and immediately made it feel like I’d been cooking with Victorian technology. The first thing you notice is the design. Instead of spreading itself across the worktop like a stranded whale, it goes upwards. Whoever came up with the idea deserves some sort of national award because it somehow gives you two large cooking drawers without sacrificing half your kitchen counter space. It looks properly smart too. Sleek, modern and expensive enough that visitors assume you’ve got your life together. Little do they know you’re using it to cook dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets and reheated pizza. The capacity is ridiculous. This thing can produce enough food for a family meal while occupying roughly the same footprint as a standard air fryer. It’s basically the TARDIS of kitchen appliances. The dual drawers are brilliant because it allows you to cook different foods at different temperatures and timings. No more trying to coordinate chips, chicken and vegetables like you’re directing air traffic control. Just throw everything in, press a few buttons and let the Ninja perform its dark arts. And somehow everything comes out crispy. I genuinely don’t understand how air fryers continue to get away with this. Chips? Crispy. Chicken? Crispy. Leftover pizza? Somehow crispier than it was when it arrived. At this point I’m fairly certain there’s a tiny wizard trapped inside. The sync function is probably my favourite feature. You can have two completely different meals cooking and the machine magically works out how to finish them at the same time. It’s like having Gordon Ramsay hidden in a drawer shouting timing instructions. The controls are easy enough to use, although like every modern appliance there are enough cooking modes to make you briefly question whether you’re operating kitchen equipment or preparing a spacecraft for launch. Cleaning is also surprisingly painless. The drawers slide out easily, the non-stick coating works well and most of the mess wipes away without requiring the strength and determination of a forensic investigator. The only downside is what happens after you buy it. You become one of those people. You start conversations with: “Have you tried it in the air fryer?” Someone mentions cooking literally anything and suddenly you’re giving a TED Talk about airflow circulation and crisping technology. Before long you’re convincing friends and family that buying a conventional oven was a mistake. You also start looking around the kitchen wondering if everything can go in it. Toast. Croissants. Wraps. Yesterday’s chips. Possibly small household furniture. Overall, the Ninja Double Stack is genuinely excellent. It saves space, cooks brilliantly, is easy to use and somehow makes weeknight dinners feel effortless. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Let’s just say my actual oven now spends most of its time sitting in the corner wondering where it all went wrong.

Fantastic air fryer
This is my second air fry, and this one is pretty good. It has two containers and I can air fry extra food. Times when I need to air fry smaller portions like a 3 piece chicken wing I can select a rack to use. I love how well it cooks foods especially the interior, it’s just so well done. When it comes to cleaning, it’s easily detached and can be soaked in water and of course must be completely dry before use. This air fryer is a no brainer and is really easy to use just like any air fry. I spent extra money for a bigger version of an air fryer and I love how well it’s made using a high quality type of plastic for the exterior with a grey matte finish making it feel premium.

I love it!
I'm extremely happy with the Ninja Double Stack XL SL400UK Air Fryer. I've been using it for a few weeks, and it functions exactly as described, cooks food perfectly, is very well-made, and looks great! I wish that I'd bought a Ninja Air fryer sooner, as I previously had a supermarket branded one, with limited capacity. You definitely want a pair of silicone liners, and I went with the fantastic iStock AirFlow Pro™ Ninja SL400UK Silicone Liners (also bought from Amazon). Highly recommended!
