Great taste, but the lid was missing when it arrived. It is sealed in a foil pack,but after opening I will have to transfer it to a new container.

The best cocoa ever.

I love this brand. Their chocolate is delicious. I baked a chocolate cake which called for "very good chocolate," and suggested this bramd so I tried it. My, my my. It was decadent, yummy and beyond anything I expected. Looks like I will be baking another chocolate cake very soon.

I read about this chocolate in Rowan Jacobsen's "American Terroir." I'd long been seeking the kind of rich, thick, edge-of-bitter cocoa I'd drunk in Italy and Spain, but American cocoas were just not their equal. Valhrona is what I'd been looking for. If you mix it thick, really thick, add a few drops of a good maple syrup, stir it really well with a whisk, and keep it as hot as you possibly can, you can stay with cup in hand for the longest time, sipping and savoring the chocolatey bitterness. You can also add a shot of espresso, and a few more drops of maple, to make a totally satisfying mocha. It's expensive, of course, but worth it.

Very rich chocolate. Worked very nice in my recipe. Check your expiration date on the bottom though - seller send and it expired within 60 days - called Amazon and they refunded me and I was able to keep the product.

Delivery was great. Chocolate was pretty good but no different than Hershey I thought. Too expensive for what it is.

I usually buy what I think is top rate cocoa, but this cocoa blew the others away! It is so dark and rich. I used it to make a special batch of birthday brownies and they were a huge hit. No one could eat more then a small piece because it was so rich and chocolatey. I used the same recipe that I have used previously with my other cocoas. I will definitely get this again for special recipes.
