Burton Kids Metalhead, Grapeseed, One Size

The perfect size, will work well even for my extra short little grom who’s off to Kindergarten soon. The “Grapeseed” color is lovely, not basic pink, more of a deep berry with rich purple pockets and straps. I loaded it up with what I imagine will be her essentials: few folders and notebooks, insulated lunch bag (that had a yumbox bento inside), sneakers, and xtra sweater and shirt/pants, small kids Nalgene in side zip pockets (lightly insulated!) . Fit great! Not sure if her bulky snow pants would also fit- seems like they would, but maybe snug. I strapped her board on the back (when bag was empty- see pic), it does hold it nice and securely (be sure to put both straps in between your child’s board bindings). BUT- because she’s so short she wasn’t able to easily walk with it strapped on, her size 100cm snowboard almost hits the ground and smacks back of her feet. Maybe for an older/taller kid would be ok- a skateboard would be fine. Not just for school, but It will easily hold her helmet, board boots, goggles mittens etc when she goes snowboarding. It’s hard to find well made/securely stitched and durable kids backpacks with zip side pockets vs. the mesh drink holder, that also don’t have characters or dizzying prints on them. I am pleased with this- it should be fine through at least 2nd grade. (Tag says made In Vietnam, btw).

Such a great quality backpack! This is our 3rd Burton backpack we’ve purchased for our 10 year old daughter, the other 2 are still in great shape but she wanted a larger one (first one was Gromlet style) and then a new design after 4 years with the most recent one. You honestly cannot beat the quality- the zippers never break, the bottoms never rip, the storage and size is perfect, seriously an awesome but for your money.

Excellent quality, perfect size for both our 4 year old, and our 7 year old girls. Not too big, not too small. The best feature for us is that their 16oz. Nalgene water bottles nicely fit into the outside zippered pockets. No more water bottles falling out! No foolish/junk mesh pockets either. Our girls can also strap their jackets to the velcro skate straps, and so this bag really is a perfect school bag for them. Expected Burton quality and fun prints. Thanks Burton!

It's perfect for my son and his skate boarding stuff

Such a cute boys backpack, my third grader uses this for school everyday, lots of pockets! Great for snacks and crap. It’s not too bulky, he can use it perfectly well. Very good material too, it’s made very well.

I'm a 5'3" adult, and this backpack fits perfectly. It's roomy enough to accommodate all I need for day to day work (teaching). It's also very comfortable. It has also withstood about a full year of wear and tear with no visual signs of wear and tear. It's definitely well made and worth it.

This an awesome backpack. Unfortunately the HUGE binder my son has to carry did not fit. He uses it a lot though. All of his gear fits in it just fine. He puts his phone, skateboarding helmet, chargers, iPad and whatever else in it. It's great. He actually wants Burton to sponsor him with skateboarding because he likes the bag so much.

Awesome backpack for our tall 4-5 year-old to take to his outdoor all-season preschool. Fits a change of clothes, a rain jacket, extra mittens, a snack and a drink. Seems to be waterproof, mud proof and kid proof. Very happy with it, Burton is the best.
