WINDOWS 7 COMPATIBLE
I have been searching and searching for a 1 TB SSD which would be compatible with an old WINDOWS 7 PC. This was exactly what i was looking for!

Reliable
I wanted to wait a bit before writing this. I was a bit concerned. I am using this on OS X/OS11. Disk Drill identified the drive with bad sectors, but it has done that before with other devices. I have used it for three months with no issues.I primarily use it for Photo Backups and Linux/Windows Virtual machines with VMWare Fusion. Performance is acceptable and there have been minimal communication issues. Occasionally Linux (Ubuntu) will lose SMB connection with the host machine, but this happens when the guest is on the local HD as well (although not as often). Not a big deal. I just unmount and remount and the problem goes away. Not sure why they are asking me about warmth. It gets a bit warm, but not really hot. That is an odd feature to ask about. The size is great. Very tiny, but seems sturdy.

Fast transfer speeds when using type C
This is an awesome deal, super fast transfer speeds when using the type C cable included. I actually bought this to try to use in a Tesla for the factory dash cam and sentry, unfortunately it keep erroring out. It would work and then a day later, would error. Couldn't figure out why so I decided to use it to replace a USB stick. Glad I did, this saves me almost 30 minutes on a 45 minute task that I used to do with a 3.0 USB stick!

Perfect little storage drive!
Actually love the way it feels in my hand. I debated getting a larger storage one and decided I’ll just get multiple drives if I need more space, which I will soon. That way I don’t put all my eggs in one basket. Will be getting another one of these soon!

Impressive performance, but not quite 500 MBps.
I can't bring myself to give them five stars for claiming something it's just not likely to do. It does almost hit 400 MB/s write and 420-445 MB/s read in sequential mode, and still maintains decent random read rates in some modes, but I wouldn't expect to ever see it hit 500 MB/s. Its random write speed was a bit lack-luster, compared to some other USB drives I've tested lately. It was considerably better than another SSD that was half the size and cost almost as much, but not as good as a 128 GB USB 3.1 memory stick (although for sequential writes it was about double the USB stick). Thus, I'd say it really depends on the application as to whether you want a traditional USB stick vs. the slightly bulkier cabled solution this provides. I can see cases where this would be great (e.g. carrying a bunch of videos I can plug into my phone/tablet on a flight) but it's not quite the "carry it in your pocket" solution either. Beyond that, it verified out at 122000 MB of storage, which is always the first test I run to ensure a card/drive isn’t counterfeit.

Smallest sectorsize is 4096 - will not boot Raspberry Pi
I purchased this drive to boot a Raspberry Pi 4 without a SD card. This unit will not perform that function because the built in controller will not write the drive with a sector size of 512. The smallest size it allows is 4096.You can use it for storage after you boot up on an SD card. There are benefits in doing this, but eliminating the SD card all together is much better. In the past I did order a similar drive that is unfortunately not currently available that allowed a sector size of 512 and worked like a champ. I would not buy a drive like this, unless the Q/A or reviews have success stories about booting an Raspberry Pi without an SD card. For persons not using it with a Raspberry pi, the drive is okay and very portable.

Warmth? Yeah, gets pretty hot after a couple hours of gaming...
Fast, cheap, good. Nicely done! My games load much more quickly that from the spinning drive, and I don't waste any main SSD space or cycles on my games. Very cool, glad I pulled the trigger on this purchase.
