I'm very happy with this device indeed & I'm certainly glad I purchased it. I'll be frank, however, it is a little pricier than some competing products but that extra ensures a solidly constructed device that will do exactly what the manufacturer claims. MINIX's products are also very well known for their exceptional design, engineering & build quality. (That additional cost is certainly offset by the high reliability & quality of this device, you're definitely getting what you're paying for!!!) Everything I've tested has worked perfectly & as intended so far.Externally the device has a great brushed aluminium finish & it really does look very sleek. The various ports are all solid/tight with no loose connections that will unexpectedly pop out on their own. The gigabit ethernet is fully up to speed & the dual HDMI's are incredibly useful for mirroring the display (& more) to a larger screen to relieve my frequently tired eyes. The SD/Micro SD card reader is exceptionally useful as well & transfer speeds are certainly up to spec. It's saved me having to have yet another device in the loop as I really do use SD/Micro SD cards quite frequently these days & I was getting fed up with having to constantly connect/disconnect additional devices. I can now do everything I need from this single device alone. The device is capable of running as is but an additional power connection may be required when using multiple ports simultaneously as well.Supplied in full MINIX retail packaging & a quick start guide is included with links provided to the manufacturer's website etc. All in all a very useful & powerful product that comes as a very small package. (In fact, my father has a birthday coming up very soon & I'm seriously considering one of these devices as a gift as he'll find one very useful indeed.) Would happily recommend & rate at 5/5.

I have to change my review in order to be fair to the vendor: I initially thought that this adapter offered "Triple-Extend-Mode" - but the product description section in the product's page clearly states that it doesn't - it only supports "Dual-Extend-Mode" (MACBOOK's own screen plus two -2- mirrored external monitors). So, it's my fault (thankfully, the item has been useful for a colleague of mine in here - so, not all was lost) A word of advice: please, read carefully the information in products' pages before you purchase anything - there's always some useful information in there to help you make the right choice. Other than that, this is a sleek & handy piece of hardware. I especially like the finish - it matches MACBOOK's color so well - I wish the company makes a better version with "Triple-Extend-Mode" in the near future.

This may have Dual HDMI connectors but does not give you 2 separate screens - only Mirrors off the same screen. Had to purchase a THUNDERBOLT adapter even though they both have the same connector.Thunderbolt connector is the only adaptor that gives you the 2 separate screens.The rest of the connections on the adaptor seem ok.

I would not recommend this product. Since day one when I bought it, I had issues with Adapter not working smoothly. When the MacBook comes back from Sleep or switched on it's ever flicking green screen or screen just flicking.After several months of rotation the screen flicks (switches on and off) every several seconds.Not worth buying :(

It was a big disappointment to find out that both HDMIs are internally connected and the external displays just duplicate that screen. I think it should be stated clearly in the description of the product, as it is extremely misleading. I bought this device precisely because of this feature and besides the rest of the features are correct, this is a must for me.

This is a great product does all the stuff you need, it does get hot but I’m sure this isn’t a problem, but overall works very well

Geeat addition to provide greater flexibility and additional ports for my mini PC

Works perfectly out of the box, runs a bit hot but that's normal according to the instructions, light, well made.
