Lemi Shine Natural Dish Detergent Booster - 24 oz (2 Pack)

Lemishine greatly improved my Bosch dishwasher’s performance. My dishes weren’t getting clean, glasses were cloudy or spotted, and plates felt like they had soap residue. With Lemishine, now everything is sparking clean! Easy to use, just pour a small amount into the bottom of your dishwasher, load your favorite dishwasher tab and run your cycle. Glasses will be spotless! And we have VERY hard well water! No odor, no sticky film, just clean dishes. Might add a bit to the cost of each cycle, but everything including the stainless steel pans comes out sparkling and I don’t have to wipe the glasses after the wash! I highly recommend!

This product is a GAME CHANGER!! OMG, we have battled hard water forever and nothing has worked effectively. We added Jet Dry to every load of dishes and we still had water spots on our glasses and silverware. My sister recommended that we try this product. I hemmed and hod for months believing this would be another additive that promised but didn't deliver. Finally, after another family function of hand washing the washed glasses to remove the spots I gave in and placed my order for the detergent additive and the dishwasher cleaner. First I ran an empty cycle with the dishwasher cleaner, again not expecting much. When I open the dishwasher door the entire silver inside was clean and shining! I don't even remember it looking like that since it was new. It's accumulated a dull gray finish over the years from our hard water. I was so excited that I started a load of glasses and silverware using my detergent and the additive. For the first time in 50 years our glasses and silverware were spotless straight out of the dishwasher. To this day, a year after trying the product, I still hold each glass up to the light and admire its clarity. I rarely give reviews, but I swear by this product and I will be a lifetime user.

What is irritating is the store I always bought this from no longer carries. Guys listen, this really works with hard water! Not only cleans dishes but keeps the dishwasher shiny! An apt manager suggested this to use a long time ago. Don’t quit making this!!!

The Lemi Shine Natural Dish Detergent Booster is amazing for hard water stains and cloudy glasses. Just a small amount added to my dishwasher makes a noticeable difference — everything comes out sparkling clean. I love that it’s made with natural citric acid and is safe for multi-use cleaning around the kitchen. It’s effective, eco-friendly, and the 2-pack is a great value. Overall, a must-have for anyone dealing with hard water or wanting extra shine from their dishwasher.

This stuff is MAGIC to help with hard water stains. I first saw it when I was working at a hotel bar because our commercial dishwasher had no filtration system, and the water was rough on our glassware. But Lemi Shine worked so well I ordered some for home use too! I just shake about a tablespoon in the bottom of my dishwasher before I run it as a booster for the detergent.

Since they remove phosphorous from dishwasher detergent, suddenly everything in my dishwasher was coming out coated with a gritty white film (we have very hard water). Enter Lemishine & Voila! Shiny clean dishes again! HOWEVER... Be very careful what you wash in the dishwasher with it. The citric acid will destroy any finish on enameled cookware & after awhile you may notice that your dishes look dull & don't feel as smooth as they used to. Lemishine slowly erodes the finish on some dishes. I have used Lemishine for over a decade & have found it cleans one set of my dishes perfectly, but a different set is losing its finish & are becoming dull & rough. Hand cleaning doesn't fix the damage. The citric acid slowly ate it away. It also neatly wiped off the design on some glassware I was dumb enough to put in the dishwasher. I guess the answer is to not use this with anything you really care about. I'm looking for an alternative hard water treatment & I'll switch if I can find one that does the job without citric acid, but so far this does the best job & I'm now washing more dishes by hand.

Amazing change. Give this product a try. I bought Lemi Shine out of frustration, but was thinking it wouldn’t make much difference. However, it made a HUGE difference! (For reference, our dishwasher is a GE Profile and our water utility hardness is 5.6 Grains Per Gallon. Our issue started somewhat recently.) We switched from using Cascade detergent pods to powdered detergent for reasons I didn’t quite agree with (a concern about undissolved casings gumming up plumbing and price in general). Within a week, there were already heavy deposits throughout the dishwasher and within a couple weeks or so, the dishwasher went from looking clean to looking like it was a decade old from all the white deposits. Previous to this, the dishwasher still looked mostly new inside, despite being a couple years old or so. Our water is hard, but it was rather unbelievable to see such a rapid change in such a small amount of time. Even the sliders were starting to sound and feel a bit grindy. Our GE Profile’s user manual had a small chart for Grains Per Gallon to Cups of Detergent. GPG is a measure of water hardness (i.e. dissolved calcium in the water). I looked up the GPG in our area (5.6) on the water utility’s site and I started using less powdered detergent per the chart, but that made no difference over the course of a few more weeks. Adding Jet Dry wasn’t making a difference either (which is normally in the pods). I had no intention of adding another weekly chore of scrubbing it out by hand. Only because citric acid helps with so many other issues, did I try to give it a go here. And what a difference! Per Lemi Shine’s instructions, I ran the machine empty with a full detergent cap of Lemi. I was expecting to be disappointed when I opened the door, but I was floored by how drastic the difference was. The most drastic change was to the plastics. It was a night and day shift from only the one cycle. They went from being heavily soiled with deposits, to looking renewed. The metal areas of the machine still had deposits, which I resolved to remove by hand, but I first chose to see what would happen to those as well after extended use of Lemi Shine. I next ran all of our plastic cooking utensils and metal pet dishes the same way and got the same result: they were all back to looking the way they used to be. After a bit more than a month now, the machine is back to looking the way it used to be before we made the change to powdered detergent and I never had to spend an entire day scrubbing it out. I'd intended to get weekly photos, but the ones I posted will still make the change clear. We now fill the detergent cap about 1/4-1/3 full with Cascade Complete powder, close the cap and fill the Pre-Wash depression on the cap with Lemi Shine. Highly recommend this product. If you’re going through this issue, at least give this a chance.

If you have hard water, this stuff is a MUST-HAVE!! Even with dishwasher rinse aid, my dishes came out with a powdery soap film and hard water spots all over my dishes. Lemi Shine IS THE SOLUTION! NORHING ELSE COMPARES! Just sprinkle about a 1-2 teaspoons right into your dishwasher (I just sprinkle it right into the bottom of the dishwasher) & add about a teaspoon into the soap dispenser with your detergent. Your dishes will come out sparkling!!! I also dissolve a few tablespoons in a spray bottle with warm water & then add vinegar to make a hard water scale deposit cleaner for sink & shower heads and fridge water dispenser etc. This bottle is very large and a great value for the money. It's a granual (coarse salt type texture) and dissolves well in water. It has a strong citrus smell & is do easy to use.

Works great. Been using for a couple years. Really helps if you are in a hard water area. I use powder detergent. No phosphates any more. And with the addition of the Leno Shine - perfectly clean glasses and dishes

We were blaming the (very) old dishwasher in the house that we purchased for the streaks and cloudiness on our dishes. But when we replaced the dishwasher, we found we had the same issue and discovered that the water is really hard here. The reviews on this product were impressive although I did hesitate due to the price, but I'm very happy that I took the plunge and tried it. With the very first use, the glasses are now shiny and clear and the cutlery is starting to come back to its normal shine.

Can't live without this stuff for our dishwasher! We have terribly hard water and was at the point of washing it out by hand every 3-4weeks due to everything slowly clogging dut to mineral build up. No products locally available and found this. Made our dishwasher like new again and works great! I wish I had a before and after photo! I use a bit with every load to prevent the build up and dishes come out nice and clear!
