GE GSS25GSHSS Side Refrigerator

It's so much bigger than our old 16 yo GE Profile. I transfered everything from freezer & fridge and it's no longer crowded & it's easy to find everything!

This fridge fully meets my expectations and worked well from the get-go. I love the ice maker and water dispenser, and I think the refrigerator is well designed for maximum storage. That said, buyers should know that the ice/water dispenser takes a lot of space from the freezer, which is pretty cramped. And when the ice maker is churning, it is fairly noisy.

I just bought all new upper end GE items for new place. Brought this item because it looked good, had room laid out nicely inside with thin compartment above double refrigerator and more. All was well until I had a licensed plumber add the water line. Immediately there was a puddle in the front left. There was no sign of leakage at the point where water line attached. We observed that each time we tried to draw water from the front water/ice dispenser there was a puddle of water at the left front. The experienced plumber couldnt find the source. He suggested I contact GE as this should be covered. I will do that now. I had another problem with the slide in oven. There remains spots of burned mess on the circles despite scrubbing and burned stuff between the oven door glass. They sent out a local shop which ordered another oven door glass but they couldn't figure it out and told me the top was "cosmetic".Seems that these issues shouldn't happen on high end appliances. Sending out help is great but solving the problem would be better.

This refrigerator is similar to a model that we had purchased previously. It is quiet, energy efficient, and does the job as far as freezing food and keeping food cold. The layout is an improvement over our previous refrigerator. However, I would never buy another major appliance through Amazon. The vender, Palace, is slow to provide vital information about things like installation and removal of the previous appliance. The shipper that they use, is also difficult to communicate with almost never returns phone calls or emails and was Late with promised delivery dates. We had to find our own people to remove the old refrigerator and install the new one. Next time, I will go with Home Depot.

I needed white, so I couldn't get it from Amazon. Word of warning, I'm old enough to remember when stainless was premium priced. Now it is white. $200 more. GSS25GGHLCWW.So mine is modified. We use a Reverse Osmosis (RO) water system, so we ordered the free GE filter bypass to maintain pressure. I've read of people having taste problems. Without the filters, it's great, just fresh RO water and ice. We also ordered an extra door shelf, since we store lots of weird condiments. "Better than bouillon", try it.1) GREAT icemaker. Fast dispenser, large enough, can't say enough good about it. Refills fast. The icemaker is the make or break refrigerator feature for us.2). Very stable temperatures. Our old frig sucked at this, so I bought digital thermometers from Amazon which records the highs and lows. Like a rock.3) Very quiet. You can hear the ice drop in the kitchen, which is music to our ears. Ice! Ice! Ice!4) The cheese does not mold in the cheese drawer5) The veggies last forever in the veggy drawer6) A 16 lb turkey fits in the meat keeper.7). There is a butter keeper in the top of the door. Imagine taking butter out and it instantly SPREADS on fresh bread without tearing.Very, very happy. GE is now our goto refrigerator

I didn't like tgat I needed to purchase additional shelving to accommodate the foods of the previous fridge that was smaller. I like how quiet it is. It's very cold and seems well made. I just got it so I'm learning to enjoy it all. AM trucking was awesome, professional, neat and courteous!
