Hello, Please add 8 drops of Water Preserver to an empty container for each gallon of water. EX: For a 5 gallon container: (5 gal) x (8 drops/gallon) = 40 drops.

Q: What is the expiration date?

The expiration date is one year from the manufacture date. Amazon will not have that information on file.

Q: How can I check that its working? I have a water tester and it reads nearly 500 ppm's even after treating it.

I'm not sure what's measuring 500 ppm - so please be more specific. Your option to this if you don't like stuff in water or the measurement of some compound is to get a capable sized PUR water filter - i.e for camping ... then you add nothing to your water
