Sony SPK-AS1 Waterproof Case for Action Cam

Case works great for my Sony ActionCam that I got from Best Buy for $30 on clearance. Thanks to the fool who brought it back without the cas for such a great deal. ActionCam fits right in, and I feel better knowing that its protected from the elements.

This is the 2nd case that I've bought for the Action Cam. The first came with the camera and lasted about 4 years until I finally accidentally scratched the front cover of the case. It was still waterproof after all that time. It worked well as a waterproof casing and the new one works well, too. It is a casing, as it says, and not a housing so you have to change settings before you take it shooting in the case or take it under water. That's exactly what I needed and didn't want anything fancy, just waterproof. The casing holds up and does a great job both above and below water. It was delivered right on time and this rating goes for delivery, as well as the product.

This item came with more scratches then the one I own for over a year. the front piece was ok but the housing was very very scratch.

It does a great job of keeping the water out, however my only issue (and it is a big issue), is that I can't change setting if the camera is in there. This case is mostly for diving, so getting the camera out to change settings while submerged under water isn't really an option. It is the only case for the AS100 that will go that deep under water, so it's real must have for you are into diving. Great product, used it several times, just my only issue is that you can't change setting if you just began your dive, or any water activity for that matter. The sad part is that we are stuck with this product as no one else has a replacement (yet). I would suggest you also get the Sony AKA-RD1 Replacement Doors as the flat door will reduce the fish eye effect under water and give your a flatter image.

Replacement case for a Sony Action Cam AS-100-V. This case works, but miss having access to the buttons on the side. Can't fine any for sale with the buttons on the side. But i configure it for what I'm needing it for then push the button to start recording and again to stop the recording. Mine is set to auto off after 1 minuet so it gets the job done.

This product came in really fast. It fits the Sony HDR-AS15 perfectly. I have not had a chance to use it underwater, but I'm sure it will work fine.

As advertised, it worked perfectly! However, it suffers from fisheye unless you also purchase the AKA-RD1 replacement door kit or the MPK-AS3 underwater housing instead, either of which include a flat-lensed door that does away with it. I realize there are plenty of software tools out there to reduce or eliminate fisheye, but still - "at the source" is a much better alternative.
