Q: Can the two halves be separated for transport even after it has been used without issues?

I would clean it very well before separating them for transport

Q: How much tank sanitizer should I use? I currently have pods for a 40 gallon black tank. Also does the slide leak when transporting to dump??

Best to lay down flat when transport. I lube the slide plastic with lithium grease to make it easier. I find 4 oz. Aqua Chem fluid best in these 6 gallon tanks. I have five for my disabled wife.
