True Story. I found a Dell 1525 in the trash in a new Toshiba box so I guess someone bought a new Toshiba and just put their old Dell in the box it came in. I took it home, plugged it in but although it looked as if was working there was nothing on the screen but then I hear the Windows login music and knew right away the problem was the screen. I ordered this screen and it arrived fast was and was inexpensive. It took me about an hour to get the old screen out and this one installed and be warned, you will have to use the inverter from the old screen as this one does not come with the inverter included. the laptop started up right away and started downloading and installing updates for Windows 7. Great Deal, end of story.

The screen was packaged well with two layers of bubble wrap and a plastic sheet over the screen to prevent scratches during installation. The sides of the screen had the correct mounting holes present, but the top and bottom were missing the holes for the top mounting bracket and the lower inverter mounting bracket. This did not seem to affect the operation, but I had to tape the inverter to the bottom of the screen to keep it in place which I felt was a little cheesy. I am a professional pc repairman, and I like to return as good or better quality than what was given to me. In this case it was not possible.As a side note, Dell screens typically come with an attached inverter on the unit. This one requires you to reuse the old one. No fault to the seller, as the picture shows it without it, but there should be some indication of this in the description. Overall the screen looks and behaves beautifully.

I bought this LCD for my five-year-old Inspiron because my backlight burned out. The product was packaged carefully and arrived well on time. The screen came with an LCD inverter board, which I had just replaced anyway. Installing it was easy, and I've had this screen for almost half a year without any problems. Two things are keeping it from being perfect: the screen does sometimes make the lightest buzzing noise which I can only hear if I'm really close. There are also two bright splotches which are very small, but not noticeable unless your eyes meet them. No big deal for a refurbished product that is working like a charm half a year later. I paid half of what I would have if I'd have gone to a major carrier.A word of advice to anyone who is looking to replace their LCD inverter board: don't bother. Unless you want two new inverter boards on hand, you are best just replace the entire LCD. A burnt out inverter board just about certainly means that the backlight is about to go, too.

Screen is fine, but be aware that it doesn't have provisions for mounting the inverter. The original screen has a bracket integrated on to it that holds the inverter, there's no way to transfer that bracket to this screen as the original is a part of the screen housing assebly and doesn't remove.This specifically applies to the Inspiron 1525, but probably also applies to other similar models. Otherwise no problems.

Frustrated. Ordered this screen. The numbers of the model of screen on my original laptop does NOT match what was sent to me. Missing the connector holes for the plug base and missing the metal holders at the top. The replacement screen is great. Packaged excellent and took little to no time to get to me. Extremely satisfied with the shipping time and quality of the product. All within a reasonable and affordable price for anybody.

Along with the invertor I purchased, this revived my old Dell Inspiron laptop! Exact fit and just needed to keep track of all the small screws. Simple install.

Easy to install. Looks good. I should have ordered the inverter also since the old one was difficult to remove.
