8" Soft-Grip Stainless Steel Taping Knife - LEVEL5 | Pro-Grade | Metal Hammer End | 5-134

I was a union carpenter when I was younger and been out of the trade a while so I was a little rusty but it was like riding a bike, it came back to me quick while I was working to remodel a room in my basement stripping the walls and ceiling down to the studs. When I threw the sheetrock on the wall and started to run some tape I found my taping knife from the local hardware store to be I dunno I just didn't like it, so I went looking around and folks recommended Level 5, so I bought this one. It's nice, it does what we want it to do, it's comfortable to use, the blade is plenty sharp, the sticker peels off a lot easier than that big box store taping knife did, so for functional us it has proven durable, and there's just what I feel is the right amount of flexibility in the blade to get the job done nicely and efficiently making the knife a good value for the money in my opinion. It is durable and cleans up nicely. I liked this so much that I ended up ordering the 32" skimming blade as well. My opinion, when ya got yourself some good tools the job just goes a lot smoother, like my walls. If ya want a level 5 drywall finish use level5 tools. I don't know if I still got it or if Level5 made me look like I still got it, but I like the results I obtained using these tools.

I actually bought this to help paint the trim in my house and it’s pretty darn solid! Would recommend.

Stands up in weld shop for scraping bbs off of parts the edge is very durable no chipping or denting yet and I have been rough with it

Was very much looking forward to receiving this tape knife to go along with the rest of my Level5 knives, but had a some minor scuffing and scratches when I opened it up from the shipping box 😕
