Yes, this one has a darker skin tone closer to the original blue top (brunette) MTM.

What i don't understand is why mattel has made the last two dolls with red hair curvy but the others are regular build. what gives mattel?

I didn't notice, but then again I'm not paying attention. Maybe this is because a) you're not looking in the right stores, or b) according to one source, Mattel historically has a problem with not only different bodies, but redheads. And so, they pair (what they believe is) the least desirable traits together. I guess?

What's the hold up of my order my arrival date keeps changing?

Other sellers as my self have the doll in stock and can ship immediately, you should consult with Amazon for specific dates, I have a barbie doll that said it was out for delivery that then changed delivery date to July... but they will send you a notification on your order list, so you can check there too.
