Great light, could be a better fit.
I like Kuryakyn products a lot, and have quite a few of them. Most of the time, they're an exact fit. The Phase 7 LED Headlamp isn't quite one of those times. The Phase 7 is built very well, with a solid plastic shell and thick clear lens, and it seems like it will be very durable. It's certainly bright and clear, much more light than my stock headlight. The not-so-exact fit came when I put my headlight mounting/adjusting rings together around the new headlight...the blocks on the shell don't quite line up with the notches in the rings, and the rim of the shell is 1/8" to 3/16" thicker than the stock, so the "outer" chrome trim ring has to be pushed and squeezed a bit to get the screws holding things together to line up, and it doesn't tighten down completely. It still fits within the headlight nacelle's outer fascia ring though, and still goes back together cleanly and adjusts properly, so it's not a detriment to function. The other issue is that most folks will want to use a zip-tie to bundle up the 6" connector wire lead that comes with the Phase 7 as opposed to the direct connection on back of the stock headlight. One more note: replacing just the bulb only requires releasing a bracket at the back of the stock headlight shell. Replacing the entire headlamp requires full dis-assembly and re-assembly of the headlight mounting and adjusting mechanisms. It takes about 30-45 minutes unless you've done it a lot, and the adjustment springs and their nylon blocks can get lost easily if you're not careful. Kuryakyn apparently assumes you have the mechanical know-how to do this, and maybe a shop manual for your bike, because they include no instructions. Give yourself time, have a clean, clear workbench with a soft cloth to protect fragile finishes, and think it through and you'll be fine.

Bright Light!
Love the light as it is extremely brighter than the halogen it replaced. I installed it on a Fat Boy. Only issue I have is the light is thicker than the OEM HD light housing. My trim ring no longer has the same look since the light is now almost flush with the trim ring. But I was quickly wiling to trade off the look for more light after I 1st turned it on. All in all, if you want more light on the road...this light is really good and far less expensive than the HD LED (which i dont like the look of it anyway). Good luck out there.

Read the review before deciding!
I have to say I really love my new headlamp (and passing lamps, too!)! The light is very clear and crisp for being LEDs. Installation was as simple as changing a light bulb. Fitment is great (except that they do stick out a little more than the stock lens). So, why the bad rating? The price!!! I didn't realize that Kuryakyn puts a cardboard cover over the box to make it look like these are their lights. They are made by Truck Lite and retail for significantly less than the Kuryakyn re-badged product. And THAT ticks me off. If you contact the seller (not Kuryakyn), you may be able to get the Truck Lite without the cardboard cover and save some dough. I didn't find this out until I got the box or I would have definitely called around to find Truck-Lite's original!**EDIT**I don't want to get into trouble with this, but if you search Amazon for Truck-Lite 27070C you will find the Truck-Lite retail version. I suspect this post won't stay online for long.

A great addition!
This item, along with the matching passing lamps, are one of the first things I added to my 2012 Electra Glide Ultra Classic. The LED makes an incredible difference at night, truly providing a brighter area of coverage especially while driving down dark side roads. The light was extremely easy to install, requiring only a phillips screw driver and about 5 minutes. Once you remove the beauty ring, three screws remove the stock headlight and then in goes the Phase 7 headlight. No extra wiring is required; you only need to plug it into the existing adapter and you're good to go. The passing lamps took one screw a piece and they were just as easy to install.I had two motorcycles behind me this morning, both with LED headlights and driving lights. The bright white light was easy to see and it made the bike really stand out.So far, I'm very pleased with this purchase and I recommend it as an addition to any motorcycle.

improvement over junk harley light
I love the headlight, but for it to look nice, and custom, spend the extra money for the halo ring. I get a lot of compliments on how nice it looks and the guys in front of me tell me how cool it looks from their rear view mirror. As for the light itself, it definitely is much improved lighting of the road from the junk harley stucknus with.

Kuryakyn Phase 7 headlight
Love the light and the value is great. The only thing I didn't care for is the headlight stuck out of the headlight nacelle 1/4 to 1/2 inch. That however was easily fixed with a new trim ring. Overall this is an awesome value for the money and totally blows away the way too expensive Harley option.

Not a fan
I don't understand all of these rave reviews. This headlamp is such a disappointment. It looks horrible on our Roadking, protruding like an ugly blackhead. [Happily, we're removing this expensive blemish within the next few days.]Aside from how it looks, let me share what I witnessed being in my car with my husband driving the bike behind me (in daylight). First off: The light was super-bright when within a car length or two, or at a red light/stop. Yup, when I looked in the rearview mirror, it was like a spotlight - annoyingly so. But when I created more distance between our vehicles, I looked in my rearview and was surprised to see that the light seemed dimmer than any stock headlamp. My imagination? I purposely slowed down and then sped up to verify. Sure thing, this headlamp is inconsistent/fickle/Irregular. Turning a corner, I looked back and watched my husband take the corner and the headlamp was totally black (an angle thing?), as if it wasn't on. Wow!Lastly, The King has developed a high-pitched whistling sound, at around 40+ mph, since installing this headlamp. Scanning the HD Forum, we found out that the new headlight rim could be the cause. We'll soon find out! What an expensive waste. Can't wait to change out this headlamp!

This light is awesome! No need for extra driving lights with this headlamp. Broad sideways coverage on low and a piercing direct forward high beam at the flick of your button. Exceeded expectations. Another great product from kuryakyn.
