This powder is SO lovely; it is white-ish with a gold flash/iridescence. I mix my own face powder and add a heavy hand of this to create an optical effect to my makeup without the greasy or oily look most powders designed to do this leave. It works really nicely as an eyeshadow either alone or over top of a bolder color; it will give that color a metallic or pearl gold sheen. It needs a PRIMER for use by itself as an eyeshadow; and if you are needing it to last for a long duration without touchups; it needs a setting spray too. It works LOVELY as an embossing powder on arts and craft projects- mixed into paint directly to create sparkly effects, with glue to make accents on stationary; or as a rub-n-buff pigment over primed sculptures. I add it to acrylic paint to create a bright shiny metallic effect when painting over a matte black surface. I have some of the other gold colors they sell and i love them all. As a makeup; it washes away super easily and brushes off clothing without leaving any stain behind.

FAIRY DUST
I do not use this for cosmetics. I do put it in epoxy. I do mix it with airbrush paint. I do little powder "bombs" on finished art. I guess you could say I use it like fairy dust!!

BEWARE: Keep our of reach of children!
It’s super pretty and did exactly what I wanted it to. I feel there could be improvements in the packaging though. There ought to be a inner lid that can allow you to sprinkle out smaller amounts and/or pour some out. My kids found this product and proceeded to dump the entire container out and spread it throughout my apartment. My entire floor was golden, and I’m still finding glitter on my belongings. I have a layer of glitter dust covering everything I own now. If it had been packaged a little better, I would have caught them before they did that much damage. Otherwise a great product at a great value.

Like a diamond
If you like shimmer in your cosmetics, definitely purchase this mica! For me, it was a bit much. I anticipated it would have shimmer in it (I would be foolish not to, given the description) but keep in mind that a little goes a LONG way. If you want that glamorous look then get to purchasing. If you prefer something a bit more natural, I suggest using matte mica colorants and some arrowroot powder for a base.

Wonderful product
I love this mica powder. I have purchased several different colors of mica powder from this company and I am completely satisfied with each purchase. I use this product in making my own mineral foundation makeup and I love the way it turns out. This mica powder adds just a touch of sparkle to my foundation and a little bit of gold color. If you use more of course, the effects would be magnified. I will continue to purchase this brand for as long as I continue to make my own mineral foundation makeup.
