6 ft. Western Red Cedar Exterior Railing Kit with Black Aluminum Balusters

This review is from the perspective of novices who needed to do a home repair during a Pendemic with an economic recession and supply chain problems using only basic saws - circular and jigsaw. We think the product is great. We needed to buy ready-built parts, which came in the mail with brackets. You just have to cut the length. I will say the little asterisk and square drivers needed to turn the screws were something that sent me to the store to purchase. The patio rail was straight forward. The stair baluster rail required me to counter-sink the screws which attach the handrail because they didn't bite into the top piece as they came from the factory. But that wasn't bad. They look good to me. If you're attaching to 4 x 4 wooden posts they work perfectly. You can get them delivered to your house without going in the store. We rate them highly considering price. You can do this with circular and jig saws and electric screwdriver (with those ridiculous drivers - why cant they just use Phillips or standard).

This is for outdoor so I sand, stained and seal it before install. The brackets are a little wider than the 2x4 but the provided screws took care of it. Longevity with the extra work, I expect it to be better. I got 6 of this from amazon but initially I ordered 12 from the dealer and I get so many compliments, this include the 2 sets for stairs.

The quality of the workmanship of this product is hazardous. I don't know how they can claim that this is suitable for handrails. I would give it 0 stars if I could.The company claims that this is characteristic of the wood and will not pay for return shipping. So buyer beware. If you get one of these kits the return shipping will cost you almost as much as the product itself.It's a HUGE waste of time, energy and money so stay AWAY!!!!

This package is definitely NOT worth the price, but there's literally nothing cheaper available. The wood provided is full of divets and knots. You cannot stain this wood, it's terrible quality. You have to fill it with wood filler and paint it.

Waited for this product to arrive as I needed to finish off my patio with these rails. I cannot believe how damaged they are. I am talking about big chunks missing from the wood, not smooth everything has to be sanded before you can even paint them. Very disappointed in the quality the price I paid.

All the parts were there and it looks fine when completed, but the quality of the wood product was low. Needed to use a lot of plastic wood to fill holes and knots.

The quality of the wood very poor. I would not recommend for that reason.
