Floto Taormina Bag in Italian Calfskin Leather - handbag, shoulder bag, hobo

Bought this (brown) as part of my wife's 30th birthday present. It's the perfect size for her. She's a kindergarten teacher and it's big enough for her laptop (MacBook Pro 13") and her daily necessities. She can't carry all her classroom stuff in it but she can pack in a couple of hours work into it for on the go prepping and what not. It's great quality leather. The picture here looks a bit darker than what it really looks like, about maybe 10% lighter in colour in person. Its pockets and dividers are great for keeping things organised and the outside zip pocket is great too for easy access. The straps are perfect for either carrying the purse by hand or tucking it up over the shoulder and holding it close if it's heavy or in a dodgy area. The shoulder strap is strong and doesn't really get in the way. It really is a solid, quality bag that can be dress up any outfit or can be used just casually as well. Great purchase and she and I couldn't be happier!

It arrived last night, and I just love it! I have been carrying Coach and Dooney & Bourke bags for years and will now be adding Floto to my collection. The leather is beautiful and substantial as is the hardware so there is some weight to the bag, but it is not too heavy. I have it in the Vecchio Brown, and it has some very soft variations in the color throughout the bag which makes it rich looking and adds depth. The stitching is a camel or soft yellow color and is more prominent than it appears in the photos. The interior is a beautiful striped fabric and has many pocket consisting of a large zippered pocket in the middle, another zippered pocket on one side, two slide pockets on the opposite side, and a zippered pocket on the exterior. I will never understand why D&B and Coach always have just one pocket. Love, love, this bag and will be going back for more Floto's!

This is a beautiful bag! The leather is a gorgeous color and is so soft. It is way to big for me, I wish it was a little smaller and I would have kept it.

This is exactly what i was looking for. Really lovely color and nice quality. The lining seems durable and should hold up over time. Large enough to carry my Surface Pro along with a sketchbook, e-reader, wallet, and all the accoutrements that go along with all that stuff. Love that the top has a zipper to keep everything contained. Originally shipped without the long strap but Floto was very responsive and sent one immediately. Highly recommend.

I order this bag based on the picture. I was totally disappointed with the bag when I received it and I am returning it. The picture and the bag do not look the same. To look at the bag from a couple of feet away it looks like it is most likely plastic or some other type of fake leather. The touch is also like plastic. If you normally buy cheap bags you may like this one. If you normally buy higher end bags, you will not like it and the leather does not compare. The stitching is light colored - a beige and also stands out and makes it look cheaper. If I saw this bag in a store, I would walk right past it and not even consider. It looks like a $50.00 bag. The shape also does not also look exactly like the picture. I purchased from the Floto website but could not find a place to post a review there. If I carried it, friends and family would wonder why I had downgraded my purchases. I have purchased a Hammitt bag and even though they are more expensive they look like the price you paid.

Nice leather and utilitarian inside center zippered compartment. But why did they design the handles with the the small end attaching visibly to the outside rather than inside? It would have been more logical and cleaner to tuck them facing inward. The two brass grommets would still be showing as accents. I guess they thought they were giving the bag a sportier look... doh!
