No, the guides only open to 11 3/4".

How much space is allowed for punching 300 pages? I have a project in mind.

Not sure what the ? Is asking. It’s a standard hole puncher just allowing for bigger jobs. Instead of taking a book apart it will put holes in the book. So 300 pages would be one job

Can you do a single punch?

The punches are removable so if you were punching only one hole then remove the two outside punches and I would think this would work.
