Solid quality and the key for a natural gas grill set up
Length was plenty long to go from the gas line to the BBQ. Fortunately blends in pretty well with the house color, so that was a bonus. The fittings are secure and the disconnect is easy to use. I was admittedly very intimidated by getting a natural gas grill, and had no idea I needed one of these. But after consulting with my local gas company, they informed me I needed a 1/2" quick disconnect to make the set up work. They actually came and put on the pipe dope (had never heard that term before) and made sure the seal was OK. I am personally quite nervous about gas lines and wanted professional reassurance on the condition of the valve and guidance on what else was needed. The challenge then emerged that my Weber natural gas grill came with a 3/8" connector. Ugh. Now what? The hardware store salesman said I needed a flare to connect the 2; yet another new term to me. They didn't have the right one in stock, but thankfully a local plumbing company did and for $7 I got the connector that joined the male and female ends and am now successfully grilling. Knowing I will not have to replace propane tanks in the future is nice, and it feels like the best choice since the gas connection was there. The hose has clear instructions on it on how to disconnect the hose and I plan to leave those in place in the event I forget. The fittings are brass and seem to be of a very good quality. The hose seems very durable too, so I think this was a good purchase.

A necessity for a 36" griddle
I recently bought a 36" Blackstone griddle, and wanted to hook it up directly to my outdoor propane gas line and get rid of the 20lb tank and manifold. I needed a 12ft hose to reach the grill connection. There are plenty of 12ft 3/8" propane hoses with the exact connections I needed (3/8 female swivel flare both ends). However, I discovered that the Blackstone 4-burner has four 15,000 BTU burners, for a total of 60000 BTUs on max heat. The 3/8" 12-ft propane hoses can deliver max 35000 BTUs, so basically half the maximum heat to each burner. For you to get the maximum cooking benefit from your 36" griddle, you MUST use 1/2" line and fittings to run off your residential gas supply. I ended up having to purchase a new 1/2" FIP shutoff valve and a 1/2" nipple to be able to attach this hose set, but it works great. They provide the adapter for the appliance end to go from the 1/2" flare to the 3/8" flare needed for your grill. The only complaint I have is that the kit came with white Teflon tape. White is typically used for water connections and is not rated for gas, so I used some proper yellow gas-rated tape that I had on hand. It's possible the supplied tape is rated for gas, but I wasn't going to chance it.The fittings are very high quality, and the hose hopefully is too. The hose is very flexible, by the way.Country of Manufacture: China

High quality, well machined threads and quick connect, easy installation
For those who value brevity, here is the Pro/Con. If you want more data, read the rest of the review.Pro-Well machined fittings, thread easily and seal quickly with yellow gas tape or Rectorseal/ teflon paste-Hose itself is heavy duty but supple and flexible-Quick connect/disconnect is heavy duty, works smoothly and looks great-No problems with installationCon-None that I saw other than a 17% price increase from June 18 when I bought the first hose and August 17 when I wanted another one for my gas grill ($42.99 on 6/18 and $49.99 on 8/17 - the Trump tariffs? - already?)The details, if you want them -I installed an Evenglo patio heater on my new paver patio and needed a 12 foot x 1/2 inch natural gas flex hose. The Shinestar 12 footer looked ideal. The hose itself is heavy duty but very flexible. The thread work on the fittings is top rate and I had no issues assembling the flex hose to any of the fittings. The quick release coupling is also well made, functions smoothly and looks great (see photo). No, the blue electrical line you see zip tied to the gas line does NOT come in the box with the gas line, it's the 24v power supply for the igniter. I know if I didn't point that out now, someone would ask if it came with the gas line or what it was.For a "made in China" product, this is exceptional quality and I'd buy another. I'd buy it right now if they hadn't jacked the price up so fast.....

Worked great for converting fire table from Costco to Natural Gas
We purchased an outdoor patio set with a fire table from Costco a few weeks ago and it only came with the hose for LP. I was a little worried about trying to convert it to natural gas because the documentation with the fire table and on the manufacturer's site was sparse at best. This hose kit worked perfectly to hook the table up to the natural gas line I had run in the concrete patio. Luckily the fire table did come with an alternate orifice for natural gas. It was easy to swap out the orifice and this hose kit. It did work with the propane orifice but the flame was really low and then I found the natural gas orifice in the parts with the fire table. I have heard that you can also drill the hole bigger in the LP orifice if one is not included with your fire table but not sure how you would know what diameter hole to drill.
