I have massive pain issues and must take many pain meds to survive. However, while they help with one problem, they create another - constipation - bad. So bad I have had to miss work to try to get relief. However, my doc prescribed the active ingredient in these for morning and night - a daily total of 4. These are way cheaper than the script and work so well that I no longer have a real issue.

My doctor prescribed this to avoid problems that may be caused by a new medication that I take.These pills work just like the prescription version. When I was in a hurry to get some prescriptions filled, although the pharmacy told me that I can get a generic version, I got a bottle of 30 so that I didn't have to look for the generic.I found this on Amazon. For 400 pills, it was about twice what the pharmacy charged me for 30.When I get low on these, I won't hesitate to order this again.(Note: when you look for a generic, it may be helpful to look at the label (on Amazon) to confirm that what you're getting is equivalent to the prescription medication -- this one IS)

I got this for someone very dear to me who had to be rushed to the hospital because of constipation issues caused by medication they’re taking.Nobody knew what to do, the doctors suggested some ideas that didn’t work. We were concerned this issue would lead to another hospitalization or worse. I decided to would go to the reviews on Amazon and see if there was something that might help, but not cause emergencies when they actually needed to go,I saw the many reviews for this product and thought, “could so many people be wrong?” I decided it couldn’t hurt and purchased a bottle! Wow, this stuff did the trick. They went from passing a movement every 7-9 days, sometimes with great effort and difficulty (I know, that’s bad), to every two days, without effort!!! I’ve been told they said it’s a pleasure being able to go without struggling.It’s one pill in the morning and they’re regular now. It’s been about 2 months so it looks like it this is not a short lived fix. So grateful for all the other reviews that I thought I would write one of my own, hopefully contributing to helping someone else out.The pill was issued to a male, 80-85 years old, 168lbs, taking medication that contributes to constipation. With IBS constipation, Diabetes , back and pelvic floor issues i suddenly lost the “urge” to move my bowels. With physical therapy regarding the pelvic prolapse and after trying several laxatives-prescribed, Otc,and natural but nothing worked.Came across this and read the good encouraging reviews so gave it a try.Happy to say I’m having a regular morning movement every day. No running to the toilet either, no straining etc.I started out with 2 pills at bedtime and wasn’t having much luck so upped it to 4 which caused me to have movement every time I ate. Switched to 2 tablets after dinner which is working for me now so some adjustments need to be considered while taking.Also, I recommend using a “squatty potty”.It’s really helpful if you’re having issues or not.

I enjoy that they actually work at all, even better when it is most of the time! I have bought many other laxatives and stool softeners, but none work as well as these do. Other similar products I bought in the past are either not effective or very uncomfortable to use. Let me explain laxatives help unclog the congestion, but imagine a dam breaking and the water coming out all at once not so good. Laxatives work, but work a bit too well, and are not comfortable at all. On the other hand stool softeners help ameliorate what comes out, but that is not helpful if you are backed up.This Wellness Basics Stool Softener with Laxative, is the ideal product for me. After multiple uses of the product I find that it works best with lots of fluids. Let me explain the first time I used the product I took the pill with little water, and it kind of worked after almost half an hour later. All other and recent times I took the pill I drank almost a full water bottle, and that really helped things get going. Needed stool softener asap since I had delivered our baby early and hadn’t yet had the chance to prepare. (FYI, yes you have to have this after having a kiddo the first couple of weeks, especially if you have a cesarean as I did) The name brand softener wouldn’t be delivered for a couple days vs Amazon’s brand being same day so gave it a try.I could take 2 of the name brand pills and still have discomfort; however, 2 of this brand and it will clean you out - more than you might like so just take the 1 pill. Worked fast and made it easy, didn’t have pain trying to “push”
