We love these for driving into grassy areas. Using a drill or hand crank makes it much easier than a hammer on traditional stakes, plus they really hold well. The only down side is if you're in an area that has compacted gravel near the site. We carry a few traditional stakes for those situations.

I have used a lot of stakes but when In saw this on the internet I was impressed and even more when I used them. Before I used I put 1 in the ground and tried to pull up by hand could not do it. These should work good in the wind.

Get set for strong winds and seems like it will hold anything. Used on playa ground with 40-50mph winds. Holds strong and I have for a life time.

I just received these to use for my 12 x 12 shelter. I haven’t used them yet. They are more robust than I expected, so I have high hopes.

These were designed to hold camping tents in all kinds of soil. They are expensive, but they work very well. I purchased them to hold down some solar panels that I use to provide electrical power after hurricanes which are not uncommon here in south Florida. I connect them to a Titan 'generator' which is a great device for supplying a lot of power with its rechargeable batteries. These stakes prevent the panels from being damaged by the high winds which are not uncommon. I attach the stakes to the home-made solar panel frames with round lift rings and the connecting pieces supplied with the stakes.
