What is a self-correcting puzzle?

Self correcting means that the pieces can only fit with correct matching picture. For example the puzzle piece A only fits with the puzzle piece Apple, Z only fits with the puzzle piece Zebra... They can not be interconnected with other pieces. This is great for very young children just starting to learn letter sounds, because it encourages their cognitive skills.

What picture is for the letter g, x, w? thanks!

I purchased this for my grand kids who live in another state. We spent hours playing with this over the Christmas holidays, but the only picture I can remember is x and that is x-ray.

This has several horrible reviews dating back 3+ years.have these issues been addressed? splinters and incorrect/missing letters?

I bought this for my two year old who already says his alphabets and I am teaching letter and object recognition. It has been great so far and this is actually the first item he reaches for when I tell him it is puzzle time. No issues so far with splinters and the letters and pictures are colorful and clear. Happy toddler, happy mom.

Why does it say ages 4 and up? Is this still appropriate for a 3 plus year old?

I got this for my 3 year old and he played with it . He needed guidance as he played with it though now that he is 4 he plays with it on his own .
