When the apocalypse arrives, you’ll want a physical dictionary
I use the apocalypse as the reason for purchasing physical books these days. The Oxford Dictionary is a great one to have. Also, there’s an Oxford Etymology of English which is a fascinating read when one is curious about where the heck some word came from. When the lights go out forever, I’ll enjoy flipping through these volumes.

My Favorite Dictionary
I used to use the Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary. I needed a paperback dictionary for a year and I really enjoyed using Oxford. The entries have concise definitions. I was worried that it would be too British because I'm from Pittsburgh. It's not. It's great👍

Took to court as judge is going by English or black law book of the dead
it was great when I presented this book and the Blacklaw dictionary book in front of the judge and asked him which laws are we abiding by today this book of English or the book of the dead the book of Necker Mency, the Blacklaw dictionary

Find meanings of words not used much these days
What a tremendous resource to have nearby. I read lots of English literature from 17, 18 and 19th centuries and some of the words I do not know are in this dictionary but not my modern ones. Well worth buying

OMG this is the best dictionary ever
This is such a big book the pages are thin but still it has 350,000 words it’s the best dictionary ever and, it has like 8 pages about countries, prime ministers, alphabets and the periodic table etc etc

Oxford Best.
I have always appreciated an Oxford Dictionary and when I saw this new edition I turfed out decades old books. I leave it on a table and it is regularly in use. I read a lot and often find words never seen before. I need understanding to make sense of what I am reading.
