What is needed to connect this to a Procon pump (clamp type)? They both seem to have female ends and it looks like a male key would be required.

Correct. There is a key needed. There is plenty of online info about this.http://www.ebay.com/itm/PROCON-Coupling-KEY-Carb-Circulator-Motor-To-PUMP-/172232800461?hash=item2819dff8cd:m:mIiSmdwKQ_l8e7iwbposEDg

Hi, does this need a capacitor or diode? If so, what size. Also, can anyone comment on how noisy this is. Thanks!

No additional parts needed except of course your pump or whatever you decide to use it with. Does not need diode or compactor. Noise level very low. Good for under bar or kitchen use.ServiceShopToday.com

Contradiction in listing. The picture shows a 1/4 HP motor with a different model #. Which is it? 1/4 HP or 1/3 HP?

The image is universal to physical dimensions, mounting, shaft style etc. the CB2034A will actually be the 1/3 hp motor.DanCSH
