Caught Up: An Into Darkness Novel (Into Darkness Trilogy)

The product was very well packaged. What a great story, dark romance for sure.

The second instalment in the Into Darkness trilogy is a total hit! It picks up the story of Junior/Nic - Aly (from Lights Out)'s cousin, and the girl he's been obsessed with since a very public sex scandal happened between them at High School. Their shared history provides the perfect plot for a rollercoaster ride of trust being earned and lost, as Nic seeks to escape from his father's mob empire and win back the girl he so publicly humiliated all those years ago. Lauren is a beacon of sex work positivity, allowing Allen to write absolutely red hot spice. The pacing of the novel is fantastic, twists and turns coming constantly, and the characters are original, likeable and memorable - even smaller ones. (Watch out for Nonna, only a couple of cameos but she's magnificent!) I also really liked that Aly and Josh have their parts to play in this story too, as opposed to just being mentioned in despatches. The one real weakness of Lights Out was the reveal came too easily - with this one there's a far more subtle build up to secrets being revealed, and it works so much better for it. I'm already looking forward to book three!

Spoko książka chociaż nie na podjazdu do pierwszej części z Joshem. Tutaj jest totalnie inny klimat i niestety główna bohaterka nie urzekła mnie tak bardzo jak ta w pierwszej części. Skoro jej nawet nie dokończyłam to trochę mówi samo za siebie.

First of all, I have to say: “lights out” was probably one of the best, most entertaining and surprising Books I've read and ever heard! (Jacob Morgan? Yes, please 🔥🤤) So my expectations for “Caught up” were all the greater. Love the story. Loved Josh and Ally's performances and the friendship between Josh and Nico. It was entertaining, fun, and spicy 🌶️ I can't say which spicy scene was my favorite - maybe the one in the confessional... or the one in the back row at Velvet... hmm Anyway - each spicy scene got hotter and hotter 🔥🌶️ A book to my taste. (Loved the Audiobook as well!! I love Teddy - everyone loves Daddy... I mean Teddy 😉) Looking forward to the next book in the series. Thank you Navessa Allen. Thank you! ♥️
