Like it fine, but it keeps suggesting I've got a big butt
I got the GE café for a pretty shallow reason: it was the least unattractive oven with the most favorable online reviews in this price range. I was leaning towards the Electrolux Icon Pro because it looks even nicer AND it has smooth-glide roll out racks, which, if you've tried them, are really, really, nice. But I'd read many complaints about performance and durability, and then lack of customer service, so I didn't want to risk it. I've had GE ovens before, and no problems with them.I've had this oven for about a month. I've baked bread, cookies, and brownies in it. Broiled fish. Seems to heat evenly, and the results have been unremarkable. The bottom rack has the fancy glide mechanism that makes rolling it in and out very easy, even if it's heavily loaded. The other two racks are the usual kind, not hard to slide out but not finger-glide either. My only complaint is that I'm constantly turning on the oven light or hitting "bake" or "broil" when I lean against the counter in front of this oven. Once I turned on the oven light (with my butt) without realizing it and it was on all night. I'll be bummed if the oven light burns out early because my derriere keeps turning on the light and leaving it on... maybe it's hint I should be making fewer cookies.

I have now wasted an entire day and have set up yet another ...
Stay far, far away. I bought this oven in November 2014. It is now April 2015. Since December, I have missed work on six occasions while waiting for GE service technicians. The first oven went through two temperature sensors and two control boards. At settings of 375 degrees and below, it was accurate. At 400 degrees and above, it was 50 degrees too hot. GE engineers finally declared the oven non-repairable and authorized a replacement. The second over arrived last week--and it suffers from the same defect as the first one. Today I stayed home all morning waiting for a repairman who didn't show up. When I called to complain at noon, I got an apologetic GE person on the phone, who said they would send a factory technician out this very afternoon. A man in a beaten up, multicolored pickup arrived a few minutes ago and blocked our driveway. Shortly after he arrived, my wife drove home and needed to get past his truck. He said he was unable to back up, so she backed out into the street. He drove down the driveway and left, never coming inside. When I called his cell phone, he said that he didn't have time to work at our house because he had other service calls to make and didn't have time to move his truck around. I have now wasted an entire day and have set up yet another appointment two days from now (more time away from work). I will never, ever, buy another General Electric major appliance.

You cna't bake in this oven! Horrible!
I had an old Maytag oven blow out in my home so I replaced it with a new Kitchenaid oven and the door almost shattered. I read up on the flaws of that oven and then purchased this GE Cafe oven. I am a baker, and each time I used this oven when the beep sounded saying it was at temp ... it was 50 to 125º lower than it said it was. I let it preheat for 40 minutes at 350º. I place 4 oven thermometers in the center of two racks and one to each side upper and lower. They ranged on the left ... 350º ... the lower right 325º the two center ones one up and one down ...upper 375º and the lower 320º. Simple cupcakes cooked without rising then they blew up in the center to a peak and were not fully cooked at the time they should have been done. When I retrieved the thermometers ... the top 355º the side was 300º ... the lower was 325º and the lower right was 305º. each time no matter what I do they ether burned or dried out or were chewy and soggy. There is no controlling this oven. In case you are wondering ... the other ovens bake the same way in varying degrees. I believe it is because they place the thermostat on the side of the oven and the element is covered over with enamel and metal and cools every time you open the oven. The convection setting blows your batter around until you have slanted cakes even if you turn them. Beautiful looking oven that simply does not perform. I spent three weeks getting it and $2700.00 buying it. Do Not Buy this oven. Good Luck!

Worst oven ever....
I am on my second themostat with this oven...it is the worst. We can get it to heat to 350 degrees, but 400 is 450 and 450 is 480 and 325 is 275. The service guy who came out made biscuits (Pillsbury) and insisted they were "golden brown" when they were hard as rocks. He tried to convince my husband that you couldn't rely on the oven temperature but had to watch your food continually....I have a GE monogram range (gas oven) and it works perfectly....but it is huge so I wanted the wall oven for smaller items and baking. I remodeled my kitchen in Fall 2013, so I'm stuck trying to make this work.
