Wow! This belt REALLY helps w SIJ pain. I have tried others and they are too narrow and uncomfortable. This one is sized properly, easy to strap on and stays in place. I am pain free wearing it and will start today w core strengthening to support my lower back/SIJs.

I finally found something that helps with my lower back pain due to lower belly-hang. For me it was immediate relief! After buying and trying belts, girdles, panty/girdles, surgery belts and what have you, for the first time in years I have relief from my lower back pain. I'm amazed and so happy! As I've gotten older, (69), and due some to lack of activity after having to leave my job due to disability, I started getting some lower belly-hang that was pulling on my lower back. I have hurt for so many years that it has caused me to be even more inactive, and has sent me to doctor after doctor for some suggestions and relief. I can't believe no one suggested a medical belt or something like this. This belt, that I found while searching Amazon once again for something to try, had some good reviews for a few other people suffering from what I thought was the same as myself and I thought what the heck, I'll spend the money and at least try it. I was getting desperate for some relief and ordered it. When it came I was skeptical, but after putting it on and adjusting it a little, oh my gosh! I was able to stand up straighter....no back pain! It hits just the right spot holding up my belly, and I can't say enough about the ability to stand without pain in my back! When your back hurts, it robs you of your normal quality of life. I couldn't exercise as I wanted to try to strengthen my tummy muscles, and in fact I didn't feel like doing anything physical. I haven't even had a good night's sleep in years, so I'm eternally tired. Now that I have this support belt, I'm looking forward to taking walks to start moving around again and maybe start exercising some on some stationary bikes at my clubhouse. And(!), I look forward to cleaning my house like I used to, though I have to ease into that. I've had to hire help for that, and that gets expensive! Just the thought that I can stand longer at my kitchen sink to do dishes, or bake, do laundry, make my bed....it's the best I have felt physically and mentally in a long, long time. This will not help everyone, I understand that. But it is helping me. Immensely. You can't believe what a life changer this is going to be. Ok, now to facts of the order and product. I ordered the XL-XXL belt in black, mainly to make sure I had some "playroom" to adjust if needed. I was afraid of ordering too small and having to return it for a larger size, but this works for me. I might have gotten away with the next size smaller, but for my hips, (46"), I went for the size recommended. When I took it out of the package there is an odor, but I think it's a rubber smell. Stinky, but I think that will go away after wearing it and airing it out some. I wrapped the belt from behind to my front, made sure my belly was supported correctly, and used the main velcro to secure it. (Easy!) Then took the attached side velcro straps to tighten it a little. I'll have to find my perfect tension but I was happy right away. It fit well, and seems very well sewn together. It's not flimsy. It's sturdy. The belt also shipped pretty fast, I think I had it about 4-5 days after ordering. I know this belt will not be for everyone, but for me it is such a winner! Sorry for the long review, but for the first time in years I feel optimistic about my pain free future and dealing with and strengthening my lower back muscles. I hope if you have back pain due to lower belly problems that this helps you decide whether to try it or not. If it doesn't help you, you can always return it. I'm keeping mine!

This belt nicely eases my lower back and SI joint pain. I got it as a backup to the Serola SI belt that I wear daily. This PlayActive belt is about 3 inches longer and a half an inch wider than the Serola belt. I have a small frame, so it is a bit more cumbersome to put on and remove and slightly less discreet than the Serola, but it's very comfortable and works well.

Update: Still love it, but pain free lasted 2 days. It still helps and I will continue to wear it until I find a dr that can help me. I could give 10 stars I would. I have had PT. 4 shots, 2 prp treatments, shock wave and acupuncture. This band is the only thing that has helped take my pain away and allowed me to live almost pain free. If you have Sacroilliac or sciatica this is a life saver. I'm mad I had to go living in pain for 2 years and I found this on my own.

It does relieve the pain, but causes pain in the hip muscles when moving around. ( Gluteus minimus) Any law enforcement officer knows that pain from the belt weight.

This is not only the hands-down the best back brace on the market, but it's also one of the best products that exists full stop (in terms of value it brings me above and beyond its price). I've been satisfied with it every single time I've bought it. Makes travel on airplanes WAY easier. Bought one back when I was only 29; I'm on the hypermobility spectrum and this product is always a godsend for preventing the otherwise-inevitable post-travel pains. Especially worth it if you're traveling transcontinentally or on a long coast-to-coast flight. Furthermore, now that I'm pregnant at 31, I've bought one again but in the bigger size. ALSO WORTH IT. Can't believe I let myself go on this long in my pregnancy without remembering this product exists. This product does not slip, holds its velcro well, and is all-round fantastic. It provides support I can feel, without impeding my mobility. It's worth the jump if you're on the fence.

I love this item. It arrived on time in good condition. I started wearing this immediately. It was comfortable and I adjusted it so it didn't ride up on my hips. I accomplished this by wearing my elastic waist jeans over my tanktop. Placing the new belt low on my hip area. The weather is cold now so I wore my turtleneck and/or sweater over the belt. If I read in bed I left it on but did remove it while sleeping. It was surprisingly comfortable and my SI joint is feeling much better. I did use diclofenac gel on my hip at bedtime which help with pain. I am amazed at how much better I am feeling.

A little too wide for me. I'm 4'9 and the belt got in the way when I sat down. I'm wearing sweatshirts now so it was easier to hide. I only wore it a few days so I really can't tell if it helped. It wasn't magic but that could be that my problem isn't primarily with my SI joints. It's a good quality product and I was able to get a good fit. However people that are a little heavier might want to double check the length of it especially when fully stretched.

Very supportive for pelvis and hips. I wear it when I am going out for a walk or around town. Makes walking more bearable. VELCRO adjustable strap and added velcro strap for support to tighten.

Excellent product, easy to use. Provide very good support if you know the painful area.

Excelente compra. He tenido inflamación en las 2 articulaciones sacroiliacas y esa inestabilidad me había creado dolor w incomodidad. La cinta externa permite ajustar para encontrar el lugar ideal que da estabilidad y contención sin que sea excesivo. Le dio mucho alivio a mi pelvis.
