Barber Gain Changer SR Olive Grey Overdrive Effect Pedal

I think I've finally found my main crunch pedal. I've tried a bunch and there are plenty of good ones out there for certain sounds, but the Gain Changer SR is the most flexible due to the switching options and wide-ranging tone control. And it sounds excellent in all settings, from very low gain at the edge of breakup to full on power.Notes and chords have great definition, and there is no "fizzy" sound on top like some other drive pedals, just smooth drive and distortion. It works equally well into a clean amp or to push a dirty amp even further. And as a surprising bonus, it can do all this with my amp at low "practice" volume or when full blast too. Quite often other pedals excel at one but not the other.I'm using a Les Paul Studio with humbuckers and the Gain Changer fits it perfectly. I don't have a single coil guitar to try, though I imagine it would still sound great with a Tele for alt rock or country. It's not going to get you into death metal territory by itself, but it could still be a great boost to go along with a high gain amp too.
