I needed a larger container to store rice and nuts. My husband loves to feed birds and the food attracts pantry pests, fly like things that birth worms that makes nests in the crevices of bags of rice and nuts. It’s gross

Nice quality containers

I hesitated buying pieces of the Brilliance pantry line due to the base material being changed by Rubbermaid from Tritan to Zylar. I really don’t like that this change was done that affected the larger containers in the pantry line. But I thought the design was great and Zylar is supposedly a safe material for food storage. Many complained that the 16 cup capacity size would not hold 5# of flour. That is totally false. I routinely empty a 5# bag of KAF flour into this size container with a couple inches of space to spare under the lid. I love the lid design. You can easily remove the lid by popping up the clasp on one side and pulling up. I find this convenient if I only have one free hand. I had originally wanted square storage containers but these are working out very well. Rubbermaid needs to correct descriptions all over the various websites, including their own, about the base material used in the Brilliance line which is dependent on the container size and line — there is Tritan, Zylar and glass. I own some of all three. All lids are made of Tritan. I recommend all.

Love these containers. When I put the lid on, I can hear it suction down and then there are also tabs to lock the lid in place. Good size for a mega size box of cereal.
