Cuisinart Flip Belgian Waffle Maker, NonStick, Stainless Steel, 1" Thick

Why I bought it: I had never really used a waffle maker before, but I wanted an easy way to make Kodiak Cakes for breakfast and occasionally make more traditional waffles too. Experience: I’ve used this multiple times a week for months, mostly with Kodiak mix, water, and chocolate chips. The waffles come out really good, and for Kodiak Cakes I usually max out the cooking setting to get the texture I want. The flip design seems to help it cook more evenly, and overall it is very easy to use. As long as I spray it and use the right amount of batter, I do not have issues with mess or cleanup. It wipes down easily after use. Build quality: It feels sturdy enough and not cheap, but it also does not feel like a premium appliance. That makes sense for the price. It is not quite nice enough that I would want to leave it out on the counter all the time, but it is small enough to stow away. Verdict: This is a great value waffle maker. It is not trying to be the cheapest option or a super premium appliance, but it hits the sweet spot for price and performance. It makes great waffles, is easy to use, cleans up easily, and has been reliable with regular use. Easy 5 stars for the value.

I always preferred waffles to pancakes but I never wanted to deal with what I thought would be a big mess or more work just to get them. I was at a hotel and they had a "make your own waffle" set up and it was so easy and quick that I decided to get one and try it out. This item was as close to the same set up as the commercial one the hotel had so I thought I would give it a try. This is the best. My husband is the biggest fan and he never liked waffles before. I use the same mix that I have for pancakes, just in a different ratio so didn't have to get anything special. I played around with the time and heat setting to get to the right crispy/fluffy combination and now it is as simple as 1..2..3. There is no mess to clean, nothing sticks to the surface. The measuring cup that it comes with, if used to the proper fill line marking, never causes any overflow so no runs or drips down the side. I use a silicone basting brush to spread the batter evenly in it to get even coverage. Just pour, spread the batter, close and flip... So easy. Then, when I am finished with it, I let it cool and if needed I wipe it out with some paper towels and that is it. The only thing missing is a timer, but I either use my phone or my kitchen timer so it is no big deal. I have one coming off every 3 and a half minutes. Just enough time to make some eggs and have them ready at the same time. This makes breakfast so much easier than doing pancakes or french toast. Best money that I have spent in the kitchen this year.

Waffles came out awesome our first time using it! We don't even eat pancakes anymore because it's so fast and efficient! Definitely spend a little time getting to know the timer and your taste, but super simple to use and not super expensive!

Previously had a Cuisanart Round Flip Belgian waffle make that recently bit the dust. It suddenly started burning the waffles and they were sticking so bad you couldn't get them our of the maker in one piece - or even in several pieces. Had it about 6-7 years probably and loved it. Cons: The new waffle maker (same brand, same slip style) (1) has no power on/off button, (2) doesn't beep when the waffle is ready. Pros: has a stainless steel removable plate that fits under it which is easier for clean-up when the batter spills out (if you add too much), (2) it seems like I will never have to oil it to avoid sticking waffles. Used it today for the first time and , Yes, I like it even though it has no power button and doesn't beep.

I ordered this Cuisinart WAF-F30 Round Flip Belgian Waffle Maker and it arrived very quickly. I got the one that makes one waffle at a time because it is just my husband and me. That said, this waffle maker cooked the waffle in at least half the time of my former maker…. about 2 minutes. So, it will be easy to cook multiple waffles for guests. The light goes on when it’s ready, you pour in the perfect amount of batter with the included 1 cup dispenser. You then smooth out the batter, flip and the green light goes off. When it comes back on the waffle is done. These 1-inch-thick waffles came out soft in the middle with a crisp outside. This is so much better than my previous Hamilton Beech waffle maker, where the waffles were gummy. The non-stick plates work really well, no sticking at all and the nooks are deeper than conventional waffle irons. I like the fact that there is a drip pan included but it is unnecessary as the dispenser makes it easy to put in the exact amount of batter necessary. I agree with another reviewer that the machine feels a bit flimsy. I noticed this when I cleaned the top plate when I got it out of the box, it felt a little wobbly, but I used soap because it came from the factory, and I was trying to get it all off. Now, I can just wipe it clean after use, and not worry so much about a deep cleaning as the iron really has a good non-stick surface. I think this is perfect for home use, it is not a commercial waffle iron. This is kid friendly, as it is similar to those used at breakfast bars in hotels. Positives: • Very easy to use • High grade non-stick surface • Measuring cup to avoid overfilling • Super-fast cooking • Small size • Drip catcher • Very reasonably priced Negatives: • No on off switch (have to unplug) • No buzzer when waffles are done For the money this is an excellent little cooking item. It works very well and is cleverly designed. If you are cooking for a crowed, get the double model, if it is just a couple this is fine. 5 stars

Great powerhouse of a waffle maker. Very simple and easy to clean and store. If I wanted to bring it to work in order to make waffles for the staff, it wouldn’t be much of an ask. The price is right too.

Works very well! Easy to clean and waffles come out great! You can pick how crispy you want to have your waffle with the nob (1-5) on the waffle maker. Comes with a measuring cup you can pour just the right amount, without it over spilling. Little pricey but well worth it!
