Very informative n a great read

This is a very easy, quick read. It has lovely ideas for setting up sacred space in any home, house or apartment. The author has a smooth and relaxing "voice", writing as I imagine she would speak. Her approach is low pressure, grounded, and again...accessible. Anyone could find parts of this book that would inspire home crafts. Recipes and practical advice run throughout. Highly recommend for beginners!

Fun book for finding your inner home witch

Really great book, whichcraft starts with knowledge and this book definitely has a lot of knowledge.

I enjoyed this book bc it is direct and informative. It covers many cultures and includes several sacred recipes. It also emphasizes the importance of the hearth and home. Grateful to add to my collection.

I greatly appreciated the author's voice throughout the book. The tone was about practicality, do what works for you, as simple or as formal as you like. This is by no means spell book, or Grimoire but I loved it all the same. I truly loved every detail even the fonts used, which I know may seem strange but it matters to me haha. The other reviews that say it's too 1950's housewife, I didn't feel that in any way but you would likely enjoy Danielle Dulsky's The Holy Wild (I couldn't get through it, it was too heavy for my taste). To me this book is about your choice and your effort and willingness. If you think something as simple as washing a window or threshold isn't spiritual enough for you then do something more formal. A common theme I'm noticing in the various "wicca" study books is do what works for you.

Got this as a gift for my wife, who has been venturing into intersectional feminism, practical witchcraft, and the practices of older (non-Christian) cultures and peoples. I was surprised at how pretty the book itself is. The copy I received has illustrations of botanicals, mushrooms, and a tea kettle, with the book's title lightly embossed in purple foil (which is her favorite color!). I gave it to her ahead of the larger family celebration, and she's been reading it for a couple days now. It has been really moving to her, she said it's made her good-cry and get chills because of how thoughtful, gentle, and genuine it feels to her. She loves it, and I'm happy!

I’ve been using this book for several weeks now and have found it very helpful. Amazingly, simply reading a bit helps to calm my spirit and open my head and heart for the work I do. Thanks, Arin, for this lovely book.
