Aiden includes descale reminders, but it’s best to descale based on your water. If you use hard water, descale every 3–4 weeks. If you use soft or filtered water, you can wait until Aiden reminds you.

What if Aiden says “add water” when the tank is full?

Make sure Aiden’s firmware is up to date, then run a flush cycle in the maintenance menu. If the result is 0.0 ml/S, contact Fellow support via our website. For 0.1–5.0 ml/S, descale using a liquid descaler.

No, Aiden does not feature a hot plate. This was an intentional choice because hot plates continue to “cook” the coffee while it sits in the carafe. This can cause the coffee to taste burnt or bitter.
