Perfect Waffle Maker
Important note for other buyers! It's an American rated appliance so you'll need a 220v to 110v/120v converter. It consumes 1080W. Don't plug it without converter or it will destroy itselfBesides the power conversion this waffle maker is a breeze to use. The ceramic is a better coating than Teflon and is easy to clean and is harder than Teflon. Waffles cook evenly though it depends on the consistency of the batter. The added heat setting on top is a great thing as you can make crispy or soft waffles whatever the preference. The waffle maker is about 5-6" in diameter

Excellent product!!!
This is a fantastic product. Cooks waffles evenly and quickly. Good chrome finish body with a convenient heat dial to control crispiness. Have been using it for a few months now .... could not be happier. Simply superb!!One word about the converter .... mine did come with a voltage converter (plug type rated 1600W). This came as a pleasant surprise 'cause I understood that the converter was not included. So folks, please check the package before purchasing a converter.

Actually Product is Excellent. The Best in the Market
Actually Product is Excellent. The Best in the Market. The problem is not suitable for Indian power supply. This product comes from US and converter provided by Amazon along with the product for converting from 110V to 220V is suitable for hair dryer and other small items which requires 50V. This prodcut requires 1080V. So what I did was - bought a Heavy duty converter which is available on Amazon for Rs.7500 and now working fine. So overall it became an expensive purchase at Rs. 12,500. The product costs Rs. 2600 in US. I didn't mind paying more money to buy the item from Amazon India because I understood it had to be imported from the US, just wished they had converted to 220V before selling it in India. Because Oster Costed Rs. 5000 + Converter Rs. 7500...Apart from this 5 Star Rating for Amazon India. Great Service....Sam

Secondly I'm so disappointed with the seller
First of all. I'm doubtful if it's the real thing since the lid is wobbly and the product is really light for a waffle maker. Secondly I'm so disappointed with the seller. If you're selling an imported product in India you NEED to send it with the appropriate appendix so people can use it. It didn't come with an adapter. I'd like to know if anyone feels differently.

Great, inexpensive waffle maker.
Received this the beginning of this week - fast shipping from the US!This was VERY inexpensive, $15. US when I bought end of June 2015 - so it was worth buying from the American site. Total came out to like $30- $35 CAD all in with shipping and our miserable exchange, which is as cheap or cheaper than any waffle iron I could find around here (Ontario). Great, great prices on Amazon US, and holy moly, what a selection!Overall, I am really satisfied, and I feel even at the equivalent CAD cost it was a good value. I've never owned a waffle iron before, nor does anyone else I know. This works well, was inexpensive, doesn't take up too much space, and is very easy to clean. I will write detailed thoughts below, but this about sums it up.As long as the price remains relatively inexpensive, I would recommend this, especially to Canucks looking for an alternative to the ridiculously priced waffle irons at home.( At least within the west GTA)________________________________________________________________________ Rambling explanation for what I wanted: I had been looking for an inexpensive waffle maker for awhile, but all of my local stores carry what seems to be the same 3 brands/models, all with the same options and price ranges. I didn't want to spend $100-200+ on a single-function appliance that is really only for the occassional weekend treats or dessert - In comparison, I spent $100 on my large convection toaster oven, which can roast a chicken, bake a cake, or cook a casserole, in addition to reheating food and making toast. It's incredibly useful for parties and hot summer days when it's too warm to use the full oven.In comparison, a waffle iron- even the fancy ones that can make pancakes OR waffles, can't perform multiple different kitchen tasks, and I am not running a B&B, just looking to make a snazzy Sunday breakfast for my boyfriend and me, and maybe the occasional guest. I am sure you can get really perfect waffles from the Calphalon, Breville, or Weston makers, but I really can't justify the $250 price tag when it's still a made in China item with a plastic base. It would probably take 2-3 years just to pay for itself in waffles made, given it's a "splurge" specialty appliance. Additionally, if we tried to justify the pricetag by making waffles all the time, I bet we would both be as fat as elephants from eating them every single day. It's a nice thought, but really a big, expensive waffle iron needs a lot of extra disposable income and a big, oversized house with lots of storage space. Now that I've finished ranting on my whole thought process regarding waffle irons, I should probably specify the details on this particular unit I purchased...... Anyhoo...This iron fits the bill for my smallish kitchen and desire to buy an inexpensive unit. I wish Oster would offer this in Canada, but as it is, this came out with better pricing than the selections from Crappy Tire, Future Shop, or the Bay.- - - - - - - -_______________________________________Detailed thoughts on this iron:* I love the ceramic non-stick plates. I have a few ceramic pans and cake tins, and they are all holding up very well over years of use (my cake tins are 7 years old now and they still look like new). I hope this is the same.* It was laughably easy to clean. No batter bits stuck to this anywhere. I poured a teaspoon of hot water into the bottom plate after I finished cooking, let it steam up for a minute, and when I reopened, the top plate was completely clean. Just took a paper towel to wipe up the last few droplets of water and oil from the bottom and it was perfect. The outside also has a mirror finish to the steel, so again, easy to wipe off fingerprints with a soft cloth or towel.* Love the simple and compact shape. This stores upright, which is great for small kitchens with limited cupboard space. Also, because its not a giant flip model, it doesnt take up much room on the countertop - again, important for limited space. I liked the idea of the flip makers, but seriously the size profiles with their long handles, stands, and trays were just too big. This model is very easy to work with.* Makes a good size waffle - I would say they are close to 2cm thick and about 20 cm diameter. They easily fill the inner diameter of my dinner plates, leaving just enough room for fruit piled around the edge. :)* Has adjustable heat settings. I can see this being very useful for different batters. The lightest setting is very light, not colouring my waffle at all, while the darkest setting is a good medium golden brown for crispier waffles. I did notice that the bottom seemed to brown a small bit faster than the top, but this was probably user error (Mine) - I was trying to figure out a perfect level of batter to fill without overflow, and so was pretty slow to fill and close the lid, meaning the bottom was cooking longer. I just flipped them 3/4 of the way through so they browned evenly. I really think that was my issue and not the machine.*** Only downside is slightly cheap feeling in the plastic handle and stand. They didnt feel like they were going to pop off or anything, but it does feel a bit cheaply made. Which seriously, it is cheap. $15 is ridiculously low pricing, at least for this Torontonian.---------------------
