Moen Engage Spot Resist Nickel Magnetix 2‑in‑1 Rain Shower Combo

Great upgrade to my new home shower. Despite building a high-quality home with a reputable builder, you still get a lot of "builder grade" details. We have Moen fixtures throughout the house, and a single Moen shower head in the master. Not much to it, and no hose attachment. So I took a chance on this item because I needed the hose attachment. When I took it out of the box I was very skeptical as it's 100% plastic. But I screwed it on and man I am impressed. Water pressure improved on the main head, and the detachable head is powerful. Once installed, you cannot tell that it is plastic, it looks fantastic. Now I suppose time will tell if it holds up to usage, but it is a Moen, and I feel that it is going the distance.

This showerhead is terrific! I STRONGLY recommend this product to others for installation and usage in their homes. I'm putting variations of this into all my bathrooms. The showerhead has exterior parts that are made from plastic. IMO, I don't mind that plastic material selection one bit. The exterior surface finish is great, having a high-quality appearance and feel. The plastic will not / cannot ever suffer corrosion degradation. The installation was easy! I REALLY liked that the threaded connections also included a rubber "Garden hose" style washer to make it EASY to attain a leak free installation. The operation is great. The high-water flow (2.5 GPM) doesn't have restrictors to decrease the flow. The click valve for selection of one, the other or both heads is easy and intuitive. There is a second on/off valve on the wand. The magnetic connection works great and is also very intuitive. The great big MISS by Moen is that they should start recommending to consumers that replacement of the generic 6" bent shower arm, to instead using their much longer 14" shower arm, will provide the desired / expected result. The short arm doesn't permit this very nice showerhead to hang properly, unless the spray is pointed MUCH too far sideways. The long arm instead permits EXACTLY the desired installation. ALMOST ALL of the review images show the installation w/ the short 6" shower arm An image is provided showing how / why a short 6" shower arm is appropriate for usage w/ a generic shower wand. The generic shower wand attaches at the base, unlike this Magnetix wand that attaches at the spray end.

Like it very much. Super easy to install. Works great and easy to switch between rain shower or sprayer or both.

I always review with information that I feel others would like to know about the product as I always assume what I'm writing will influence for or against the purchase. I always try to go above and beyond surface characteristics and input into quality, value and application. Most importantly, I will always end the review with an answer as to whether I'd purchase the product again which I believe is the most critical question pertaining to the item. To manufacturers: Want me to review your items, just let me know! We had looked at this Moen Magnetix unit multiple times before ordering. Was concerned about the plastic head housing but it hasn't been an issue in about 6 months of usage. No water spots and it still functions very well. It does have a flow restrictor which you can remove but we leave ours on. We both have short hair and the pressure hasn't been an issue. The hand held unit has multiple stream settings, has an on and off rocker switch and fits very securely into the magnetic attachment. The main unit has three different diverter settings to have only the main head on, only the hand held head on or both. The hand held unit has a long flexible hose, plenty of length. The pressure for us on both units is great without removing the flow restrictor, we've been very pleased. The only real issue for some could be the length of the hand held handle as if your goose neck from the shower wall isn't long enough, the length of the handle could contact the wall, making the hand sprayer separate from the attachment and falling to the floor below. As you can see in this picture, our goose neck is standard length and it's not an issue. The magnetic attachment is very secure and strong. We paid about $100 for the unit which was on the upper-end of the scale for shower heads. If you have any questions, feel free to ask here. We did not install the unit ourselves as it was part of a bathroom remodel but it would have installed no differently than any other shower head. As long as you have a good goose-neck attachment, you're good to go! Only thing I'd prefer is if the hand sprayer handle was a bit shorter and the entire unit was made out of light metal instead of plastic but then you'd have to contend with water spots. We would purchase another one of these and may do that for our guest bathroom.

This Moen Engage Magnetix 2 in 1 combo showerhead exceeded expectations. The design looks modern and high-end, immediately upgrading the bathroom's appearance. The finish is clean and well-made, and everything feels durable and solid. Performance is just as impressive. The rain showerhead provides great coverage, while the detachable handheld offers strong, consistent water pressure. The combination makes it very versatile, whether for everyday showers, rinsing, or cleaning the tub. The Magnetix docking system is a standout feature. The handheld snaps back into place easily and securely every time, which makes it much more convenient than traditional holders. Installation was also straightforward and quick, with no complicated setup required. Nice shower head. The water pressure is strong enough to easily rinse shampoo from long hair and provides good body coverage. The hand held magnet is strong and you easily return it to its holder. I would buy again.

When I mentioned to my brother I was thinking of getting a new shower head he immediately told me to check his bathroom and test out the one he had just installed a few months ago and it was this shower head. He loved it and he has almost waist length high porosity hair so he’s a really harsh critic against bad water pressure, bad spray, and difficult controls, so if HE loved it that said something. Installing was super easy and I had no leaks! I attached it to a filter as well so I didn’t have the space issue a lot of other reviews left. Water pressure felt normal, you can definitely feel a difference when both shower heads are on because it splits the pressure but then it becomes a nice, relaxing rainfall. The large rain fall shower head has nice range and overall just feels very comfortable to stand under, some rainfall showers felt like I couldn’t breathe. The detachable shower head has much stronger water pressure and with the settings you can adjust for different sprays and pressure. Also the magnet for the detachable shower head is very strong, no chance is that thing falling off. I’m only 5 feet tall so the length of the cord is excellent for me. I do like that I can adjust the angle as well. Overall very happy with this shower head, I would tell everyone to buy it.

Great showerhead! Easy to install, great spray that is comforting and feels great on your skin. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a change from their old showerhead that has built up too much gunk and has a week, uninspiring flow.

Wow. Installation was quick and simple. Cresent wrench only tool needed for this install. Just dont over tighten the main assembly to the shower spout. Hand tighten the wand and hose and your set for a great shower. Don't forget the washers(supplied). The main rain shower part was fantastic, great pressure and easily switched between settings. Lever to change settings is very positve and should last. Very impressed with this and always trust a moen. Definatlely recommend and will buy again when needed for other shower upgrades.!!!!

Really happy with my purchase. This shower head is easy to install and functions as advertised. I really like the multifunction controls the provide a variety of different spray patterns and the magnetic holder for the hand shower is a nice touch. This has been in use for a few months now and is used extensively by my kids. So far it is holding up very well.

Easy to install and has great water pressure, with many different water settings.
