The battery works, but they forgot to include the instructions!I thought I bought a bad battery, but it turns out you have to:1: put in in the laptop, the battery icon will show around 65-70% when you turn it on (this is common for long term battery storage and shipping)2. DO NOT CHARGE THE LAPTOP, just let it drain 'till it get down to 10%3. the machine will shut down (shut it down if your machine doesn't automatically shut down at low power)4. now charge the laptopI was unaware of these steps and freaked out when I tried to immediately charge the thing.This old HP laptop runs Linux Mint these days, and the power settings are set to dim the screen when the battery stops charging, which happened every 5 seconds after I attempted to charge it. I had a flickering screen and thought I had killed my laptop.Did a quick Google search and found the fix.

What I liked about the battery it actually made my laptop stay cool because I had a over heating problem and it lasted for a few hours which was very useful for me when having to use my laptop at locations that are without or don't have easily accessible electric outlets. The only problem I had was it didn't sit completely into the battery slot i didn't feel comfortable about this because I don't know if eventually it would cause some kind of malfunction which was unfortunate that's why I decided to return it. Overall it's a great product and a very affordable price.

This was a perfect fit for my laptop. I had to replace the original battery which no longer would take a charge. As far as i can tell battery life seems equivalent to the oem battery. Same day delivery from Amazon and packaged well to prevent ESD... Overall very happy with this purchase and will purchase this brand again in the future should another of my laptops require a battery replacement or if i need a second battery to extend life while travelling. The price was definitely reasonable as well.

I like this battery. Prize was reasonable and now I can use my laptop without wire so now its wireless which is very convenient for me as i can take it anywhere. Thank you

I bought this to replace a dead battery for an old laptop. I didn't want to spend a fortune on a battery that costs more than the laptop is worth (it's running Vista). This was the perfect solution. I'll be using it for a writing station without too much "computing" being done. The laptop is an old HP boat anchor. This battery runs well and will last through the day of my writing. I can't complain.

I know there are complaints here on this battery, but my report is that this battery worked just fine. I discharged the battery first before giving it it's first full charge, and then I cycled the battery again, and haven't had any issues since
