I decided to swap out the factory radio in my old Toyota pickup because I wanted modern connectivity without ruining the truck's interior vibe. I specifically didn't want a giant touchscreen that would look out of place in an older dashboard; I wanted something that felt tactical and straightforward. This receiver ended up being exactly what I was looking for. The design has a cool, slightly retro style to it, mostly due to the large, central volume knob and the high-contrast display. It fits the aesthetic of an older vehicle perfectly. I also really appreciate that it is a "mechless" unit, meaning it completely ditches the CD player. I haven't used a physical disc in years, so dropping that legacy tech makes the unit lighter and focuses the interface on what actually matters: Bluetooth and digital media. The sound quality is a significant jump up from my previous setup. The audio is clear, and the connection to my phone is instant every time I start the truck. The buttons are large and easy to find without taking your eyes off the road, making the interface very user-friendly. If you want to bring your daily driver into the current decade but prefer physical buttons over touchscreens, this is a smart route to take.

Venía siempre de utilizar marca Alpine buscando buena calidad de sonido, y ahora decidí darle la oportunidad a Kenwood principalmente por cubrir un hueco de doble din, y ahora que lo uso afirmo que está unidad no decepciona en nada, comenzando por la estética que es bastante agradable, además de un sin número de funciones y configuraciones que aún no termino de explorar, y es que ofrece una excelente calidad de audio, por lo que no he tenido la necesidad de hacer demasiados ajustes.

Vale totalmente la pena, es un equipo para calidad de audio y permite una calibración detallada. Tenia años que no escuchaba un auto estereo "comercial" con la calidad de audio de este, si no eres usuario avanzado puedes ajustar graves y agudos y disfrutar del equipo, de lo contrario puedes ajustar distancia, ganancia, los cortes de frecuencia de los 4 canales y 2 agudos, ganancia y fase de subwoofer. Tiene un dsp interesante con varios modos, loudness, y ajuste para compensar frecuencias al conducir. Muy completo!

If you're old school like me and want a volume knob and don't care about a fancy screen then this is the unit for you. Plenty of sound sculpting features and 5 volt amp pre outs. Probably one of the best units you can get that isn't a fancy touch screen. 2 minor flaws. 1.. If you buy it, be sure to update the firmware. It resets the clock and a few other things when the temperature outside gets freezing or below. The firmware update fixes this. 2... It doesn't have a wire that connects to your vehicle for automatic dimming. There's a button on the unit that you press and hold for a few seconds for dimming and brightness. There's also a setting where you can set a time for it to dim. I don't use it. Other than that it's probably the best bang for your buck. Excellon sound quality at an excellent price. Sounds better and has more pre out voltage than entry level touch screen units at a fraction of the price.
