Why does picture say "pocket chart sold separately"? What is being sold if pocket chart is not included?

It is just the pocket chart, not the colored word cards that are on the chart in the picture. The cards are just there to show the scale of how many words would fit on each line. I really like the pocket chart. It’s the sturdiest one I’ve ever bought.

Will 3x5 index cards work with this chart? Is it durable?

Yes, they would work and it is very durable. I use it in a preschool classroom and it has held up well.

Think i can solve the issue of the floppy pockets if i sew columns? I dont need this for teaching sentences.

I hate floppy pockets too. You’d probably have to have a heavy duty sewing machine to go through the vinyl and thick nylon though.

If I use 3x5 index cards with this chart, will there be any overlapping with the cards?

I do not know, I have only used sentence strips.
