Great size for cycling!
Most new pack style hydration packs are designed with too much storage for my taste as a cycling pack. This was for cycling not backpacking so I wanted something for lots of cold water over storage.Storage on this was just enough and I really like the extra storage behind the lower pocket. I can put my glasses case and my cellphone in there, snug down the straps, good to go.Only ding is it would be nice if the tube for drinking was about an inch longer. Found I had to tuck my head down a bit to much to easily drink but not a deal breaker. Very nicely made with well thought out inner pockets.

At this price I should not have gotten a leaking Camelbak
I purchased this product to replace a much older Camelbak biking hydration pack and to take on a recent bike trip to Albania. Unfortunately the bladder portion had a leak and it was impossible to determine precisely where and to fix it with tape. (It may have been an improperly sealed seam.) For most of the trip the hydration pack was leaking onto my backside, which was uncomfortable especially in cooler weather. On the last day I used the pack for the big climbing day, I found out an hour after I started riding that I had lost over a third of my water due to the leak, which was getting worse. So I put this pack away and just used a water bottle. At the premium price you pay for a Camelbak, you absolutely should not receive a defective product, but I did. I tried to contact Camelbak directly about replacing the bladder, but I received a bureaucratic form-email response that would have had me jump through some hoops. It was much easier for me to just return the product to Amazon for refund and purchase a highly rated non-Camelbak product (for a lot less money). I hope I will be much more satisfied.

Will tear your shirt!
I have worn this for both a triathlon 70.3 distance, and for a marathon. Both outfits had visible wear where the top left left chest clip clips in. You don’t notice the physical rub, but it will ruin your clothes and tri suits!

Great backpack for Road Cycling.
I have a Columbia small backpack that I use with 50oz Cammelback when skiing in the winter with an insulated hose, need the insulation otherwise it freezes unless adding alcohol, but had a problem I road cycle and the backpack is just to large for that, so I purchased this version. The number one reason is the hose is DETACHABLE, which is not the case on some of the other models. Also the big 3l reservoir has a baffle inside of it to keep the water from sloshing from side to side, which is helpful. The detachable hose was a must for me as I can swap it out for the insulated hose I have or use the smaller reservoir with this backpack. The backpack is great for cycling not that bulky has both chest cross strap and waist cross strap so the backpack does not slide around when ridding. There are also extra pockets in the lower half which are great for storing keys a credit card or two, patch kit or wallet while ridding. I am very happy with this and like it better than the Rogue model I had a few years ago, as the extra zippered pocket on the bottom does not really add any weight but extends the utility of the backpack. I also tried some other models but they did not have the detachable hose which as mentioned before is very versatile, giving the ability to switch out hoses or bags and makes cleaning and drying much easier.I would also recommend the drying hanger by Cammelback that holds the open so air can get in and dry out the bladder and has an attachment for the hose too.

Great hydration pack
Love it! Great water flow, easy to fill, does not leak like many other off brands, and it actually fits a little more than 3l which is great! It’s comifrtable for long adventures and it has great storage yet it’s not bulky. I’m a dog walker and use this daily mainly to give my crew water during our 2 hour adventures

Go for it- you won't be disappointed !
I purchased this hydration pack based on it's excellent reviews, and it is every bit as good as promised. It is well thought out and apparently designed by people who use it and know how it should work. The quality seems to be very good too. The bite valve works very well and I don't know what more you could want in a hydration pack. My only caution is on size- I am 5'11" and 180, and it just fits with the straps fully extended, so anyone much larger will probably have fitting issues. After my first bike ride with this pack I wondered why I didn't buy one a long time ago . . . .

Stellar Camelbak Hydration Pack!
Quality Camelbak hydration system. A much needed survival tool for ultra distance cycling in the wicked AZ summer heat. This unit allows me to cycle 4 -5 hours before a needed refill. The quality of the bladder and nylon case is outstanding! I own 3 Camelbaks and they all perform very well!

Great product. Very light
Great product. Very light, worked as you'd hope. Good fit on my shoulders. I cut away the pouch/pocket to reduce weight. Tip: to keep this clean, I rinse it out, and store it in the freezer to prevent mold.

Very good - highly recommend!
First of all I would just like to note that this bag is actually called Camelbak Ratchet if trying to search elsewhere for it.Upon first impressions this is a very good hydration backpack. In the images the bag looks quite long however I am only 5 ft 1 and find it to be quite comfortable and not too long at all. And even with the full 3L of water on my back it feels like nothing. The adjustable chest/waist straps also make it perfect for cycling. It also has surprisingly more storage space than I expected. However, one tip if you are like me and dont need the full 3L of water, you can fill the bag with only 1.5-2L of water and this gives you space to store some items in the reservoir compartment which isnt normally possible when filled with the full 3L.I dont believe the bag is waterproof (although I haven't tested it in the rain yet) however I always carry small dry bags with me anyway just incase so I can to protect any electronics etc.Overall, I would highly recommend this pack, especially given the price. Before buying this I was about to buy the Camelbak Rogue which is much smaller and about £16 more expensive so I'm glad I found this one!

Best long distance hydration solution
I’ve tried other hydration methods including bike mounted bottles, the osprey bum bag water bottle holder (the talon). This works best for me. It’s thin but the 3 ltr capacity is plenty. Yes my back gets sweaty but only a little bit more than it would anyway

A lot of money, you decide if it's worth it.
Not dissapointed with this, the bladder is spot on. Storage space is a bit tight though. Waterproof is a bonus!

Easy to use
Very good price and works perfectly. Easy to fill and the valve allows plenty of flow.
