Works actually great. I finally don't waste water on my driveway and the street anymore.
Title says it: I was able to almost perfectly adjust the watering field to my lawn. Much less waste of water. One remark: It would be great if the manual somewhere would say that you have to adjust the screw OPPOSITE of the spray direction to adjust the distance and not the screw that points in that direction. Also it would be great if the manual would mention which direction increases the distance and which decreases. As the head rotates, it is very hard to find that out as you have to wait for a full rotation after each adjustment.

Great Idea but it doesn’t work
I’m very disappointed, I have bought and used Orbit commercial and residential products for more than 30 years and never had a problem. In fact I recommended them any time I was asked what thought someone should use. It was easy because everything was rock solid.Unfortunately that is not the case with the Orbit 56805 Precision Arc Gear Drive Sprinkler with Adjustable Knobs, Gray. It failed to operate as advertised straight out of the box and would only run in a 365 degree circular pattern, and failed to produce a substantial stream of water necessary to reach the advertised distance.I would not recommend this product to anyone for any reason. That being said Orbit is a top notch company with countless numbers of well built products; so I would recommend Orbit to anyone needing irrigation equipment and products.

Crapshoot getting one that works
The first two I bought work great once you get them set up. I have them on timers, and they just stay in place all the time. Well worth the hassle of setting them up if you're going to leave them in place all summer. I can avoid watering the sidewalk, driveway and the neighbor's rose bushes (and knocking off the flowers). If you had to set them up every time you water the lawn, it would make more sense to stand there with a hose for half an hour. They only reach about 80% of the distance my old sprinkler did, which mean there are some spots it can't reach, but I found that if you wedge something under the front of the foot pad, so the stream will arc up, you can pick up a couple feet in distance. Now my third one is another story. Within a couple of days, it would simply rotate 360 degrees regardless of where the stops were located. I noticed that unlike my first two where just the sprinkler head rotated, on the third one, the entire barrel rotated, along with the adjusting knobs. I'm not sure if there is an easy fix, but after having such good luck with the first two, I recycled the package as soon as I took it out of the box, so I can't return it.I'd still recommend it to anyone that has an irregular area to water and will leave the sprinkler set up between waterings, but I'd also recommend they hang on to that packaging!

Quality control issue
I was super excited to try this out. Bought before watering season so it sat in the garage for a month before use. Actually was so confident i purchased another unit at Lowes when i saw it there for 5 bucks cheaper. I was quickly disappointed over the weekend when setting this up. Maxed out it sprayed maybe 10 feet of water and it also has no regard for the stopping points and wanted to go 360 degrees no matter what. I then tried the unit i purchased from lowes that had slightly different packaging hoping for a better result. This time it actually obeys the stopping points and was able to spray further, maybe 15 to 20 feet which is much more acceptable. its not a water pressure issue as i have a different orbit sprinkler that is able to reach 30 feet easily. It's a fantastic idea that i think still needs some tweaking. If you get a good working unit you will probably be happy. But, it seems like there might be too many parts on the inside that lower the quality control.Proceed with caution.

Try something else.
Great concept but it’s not a great product. Turning the adjustment knobs is hard and only one or two seem to actually work. It simply doesn’t deliver. It is well-built and it does have a 360° spray pattern but without the adjustability it’s just not worth the money spent.

Works great but it’s tricky
I had my doubts after reading all the bad reviews but I bought it anyway. It works great but it was tricky to set it up.

It broke after 10 minutes. Great idea but bad delivery.
The stops, which are meant to stay in place, started rotating with sprinkler which made it impossible to change water pressure. Not one to return purchases but the the sprinkler doesn’t even stop at the gauges so no choice but to use it for a 360 circle. Bad design.

Easy setup
It’s pretty easy to set up. I bought one for the front yard and one for the back, so I don’t have to adjust it all the time. You can adjust the flow from each nozzle as it’s working so you don’t get soaked. It does a good job considering the low cost
